Student Sex Case Snares (Female) Gym Teacher

A North Hunterdon High School teacher and coach was charged Thursday with sexually assaulting a student over a 10-month period while she worked at a Catholic high school in Somerset County, N.J.
Pamela Balogh, 39, of Bethlehem, taught and coached the female student, who was 15 years old when the alleged sexual assaults started in December 2004, according to the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office. The alleged assaults continued through September 2005 and mainly occurred in Balogh's office at Immaculata High School in Somerville, the prosecutor's office said.

As aggressive as that word is, it still seems to me to be a diminishment in describing the crime. "Assault" is when you swing your fist at someone, but "Assault and Battery" is when you strike someone with your fist. "Sexual Assault" sounds like someone almost got raped, but not really.
Can't we just use the word 'rape'? 'Assault' makes me think this gym teacher attacked the female student's compound with helicopters and rockets or something.

Balogh has been charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault, second-degree sexual assault, third-degree aggravated criminal sexual contact, fourth-degree criminal sexual contact and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child. sheeesh..she has so many degree's attached to her if ya gave her a straw with punch in it, you could read the temperature

Reminds me of 'femininely challenged' gym teacher that I had... we called her the "Brown Hornet" [old Bill Cosby/Fat Albert cartoon thing]
