The idea of it being a pure choice is also silly. I'm not gay because I chose not to be gay, I'm not gay because I've never had the slightest sexual interest in other men.

Acting out is the only choice, being gay is from birth and wired into the brain. As far a passing on genes, lots of gays get married and have lots of children - if it is about genes - they are passed around all the time.

That's not true. I know a gay man who had 3 children (who are now adults)before "coming out". One of the children is definitely gay, and another may be.

Whether it's nature or nurture I'm not sure.
