Okay, here it is:
Girlfriend is a budding pastry chef, who made a subtle hint yesterday about wanting a Mixmaster. I'm thinking "thats no big deal, what the hell?" So, I go up to Amazon, and theres all these colors, and all these freakin attachments, and DAMN that thing is expensive!! I thought I was going to get away cheap on this deal, ya know?
So, you owners of these things, what is so great about them anyway, and what attachments should I buy with the thing, and what freaking COLOR and, and, and, by the time I'm ready to buy, should I just give her the cash?
Why is this thing so much more expensive then the other brands? Does food taste better with this thing? Is this some female status symbol or something? I could buy a lot of man stuff with that money, so ladies, tell me what's so great about this sucker, before I get her a gift certificate instead!
Good point.
Pukin Dog....If you have to think that much about spending the money on her...this relationship is not in good shape or this is so casual that maybe just a box of chocolates and a pretty sweater would be more appropriate.
If buying the present is about what you'll get for the holiday...Here's another way to calculate the " $ " spent...if that is the issue.
Figure out the price of the Mixer, divide that by 3 and see if that is what you would pay a call girl for 3 visits.
Good luck!
Buy this one NOW:

That price runs out at midnight.
C-Dough Hook Coated
Flat Beater Coated
Wire Whip
a 2nd Mixing Bowl with Handle
I've been doing my Christmas shopping online today; so far I've bought 3 items from the KitchenAid sale on QVC for myself, but they don't count as Christmas presents.
My opinion...
The black one is not a good idea.
With the way the beater rotates around the bowl, it's hard to scrape the bowl while mixer is running.
With the metal bowl, when making something like divinity where you add boiling syrup to beaten egg whites, it takes FOREVER for the bowl to cool enough to start to thicken the mix. And I mean FOREVER. I've wrapped ice in towels and held them around the bowl in an effort to cool the darm bowl.
Just my thoughts.
That link didn't work:

Try that one....if it doesn't work, go to QVC and click on the KitchenAid stuff and go to the mixers.........get the professional one; that's the best buy I've seen on that bad boy.
And it's got ALL the bells and whistles with it, plus a $50 rebate.
Haha...I see I wasn't the only one watching QVC today!

I bought the 3 cup chopper today...........hey, I had been wanting it and it had a rebate!
If anybody asks, I want that blender.
But bar none, this is the BEST appliance I have:

You mean those are decals?
I bought my husband a KitchenAid Mixer a couple of years ago, the same year he bought me an air compressor and staple gun. We do like our tools.
The basic mixer comes with enough attachments to get her started, and she'll know later on what else she needs/wants. (Just like I know I'd love a trimming gun now, for the small stuff.) However, that dough hook is a must. One needs some good home baked bread after the chores. Trust me, the KitchenAid will pay you back double.
Apparently so. Pretty cool, eh?
They'd look really good on a red one, but they'll jazz up the white one we've got really nicely.

Pampered chef stoneware is excellent. The ex demanded it in the divorce, I let her have the muffin pan, kept the rest.
It's a one cup CuisineArt processor. I thought it was kind of dumb at first but it comes in really handy and takes up no space at all on the counter.
We rarely use the big one anymore because the smaller one is so handy.

SO...
MANY...
THINGS...
I...
COULD...
SAY...
THAT...

Instead, I will just LOL!
And don't get me started about knives. :)aka "Touch my knives and you die!" ;)
LOL, yeah. Poor girl, saying stuff like "12 inches seems little small, though. "
Holy crap. These guys may just be for real this year.

P.S. I had to throw in some football after all this kitchen appliance talk.
