My 9 year old is named Richard (Ricky). In his young school life we have yet to meet another Richard in any of his classes. We have been in classes that have had three Greysons and Chases and pairs of Harrisons, Zacks, Colby's and even a "Divine".
To my "Star Wars" fanatical son's utmost delight he also has in his third grade class this year Luke, Hans and Leah.

Gawd...they just have to gayify all the boys from the starting gate. Braden/Jaden/Aiden would have been getting their butts kicked on the playgrounds that I grew up on.

This list is highly discriminatory! No Muhammad, Osama or Ludicris! /S

I've got one of those globally common names, possibly the most common. (John) There are variations in just about every language.

The vast majority of boys' names seem to end with the letter N. What's up with that?

One area where Gen-X is 10x worse than even the Baby Boomers. Enough of these gender neutral, weak limp wristed names for boys
Xer Ping
Ping list for the discussion of the politics and social (and sometimes nostalgic) aspects that directly effects Generation Reagan / Generation-X (Those born from 1965-1981) including all the spending previous generations (i.e. The Baby Boomers) are doing that Gen-X and Y will end up paying for.

Jeez, would you look at all the faux names!
I'm surprised how many boy names - Caden, Braden, Jaden, Addison, Cameron - could work for girls whose mothers are intent on them growing into strippers.
For the record, "Caleb" is one of the ugliest names EVER. It's up there with Otis.

My brother Grayson will turn 27 next year. (It's a family name.)
Have you run into any Nevaehs, or otherwise backassward-named kids?

Wow, I remember a few years ago "Austin" was on top of the guy's names. Biblical names still dot the top 20 I see, that is good.
BTW... after three boys, me and wife have gave up. I wanted one "Gertrude".... alas.. also never to be in the top 20 again for the girls. (Wife hates that name... but I don't, but our grandmothers were named a that).

Ava surprised me. In my daughter's classes there were none with that name, and a name book I have doesn't even list it. Also, I had not expected Tristan.

By what source are they able to make this claim?
I don't believe it.
Only a scientific poll of birth certificates could make this claim, and it would have to be just a sample.
