I have been in Tucson in Sabino canyon area....I have seen Javelina (collard peccary). One method would be to shoot and eat these wild, pig like, mammals.....OOOOOOOOO...Javelina.

I have eaten javelina many years ago when I visited a friend's ranch near Eagle Pass, Texas. Was a little too gamey for me so I think I'll stick with Wilbur.

I've been in Tuscon a number of times for Rockies spring training and while there have run in the Saguaro 'Cactus Forest' National Park east of town and I've never see a javelina, Thank God!

Can't they be captured and airlifted to Mecca?

No thanks. In an escalating effort to drive them away from his place my father shot one one and tried cooking it up- nasty, stringy meat. At least the pack stayed away for a couple months after that.

They aren't related to pigs either, they're much closer related to bears.
