The 2006 ExGeeEye Tree
Tree and lights: Artificial 6-ft tree pre-strung with mini multi-color lights.
Topper: Star-shaped with several clear lights.
Garland: gold foil.
Ornamentation: Shiny balls, satin balls with glitter, shapes in blown glass and glitter, tchotchkies of various kinds including a keychain from Jerusalem, and assorted candy canes, placed by my adopted niece and nephew.
LOL!
I too have a tiny tree on my counter and that is the ONLY tree I'm putting up this year! It is pre-decorated, so all I do is pull it out of a box and plug it in.
My mother-in-law has a FIT!
HILARIOUS!!!!
lol
Now for the Feats of Strength and the Airing of the Grievances.
Cool thread idea, Mister GeeEye...
Let's see those trees!
(mine's not up yet) :-)
All the lights are red.
Well done.
Ooh...you've got those nice *big* bulbs! I like those. Nice!
I actually tried to find those *big* colorful bulbs this year - like the old-style ones we had when I was a kid. Instead I found some similar LED ones at a decent price. Up close they're not smooth - but the colors are lovely. :) Personally I think they best-looking house I've seen around here is one that is COVERED in those big colorful bulbs - around every window, door, along every eave - just gorgeous. Like a candy house :)
We had some of the big ones when I was little, too, but as the years went on, bulbs broke or burned out and we couldn't get replacements. Nice to see them back in some form!
Yeah, I like them on houses, too. I suppose the white icicle lights are classier...but they just aren't as much fun!
Vey nice. I like the C7s.
They're still available. Look in the Hugh Home Improvement Stores.
Pink Princess stuff is vey cute, as long as you have a pink princess to put it up.
Shu-weet! Got the packages underneath already, eh?
When Santa comes there'll be a lot more.
