One of Hollywood's biggest stars is taking the rap for getting a mate drunk, before his appearance on a United States talk show.
George Clooney says he is responsible for an all night drinking session, which loosened Danny Devito's tongue in front of millions.
The 62 year old actor was promoting his new Christmas comedy 'Deck the Halls' on talk show 'The View' when his speech began slurring.
He also used bad language when joking about President George W Bush.
Clooney has told US show 'Today' that he woke up tipsy after the pair shared a 'brutal night'.

One of Hollywood's biggest stars
Another of Hollywood's biggest stars ..Cheeta
President of the Christmas elves union.
So, the two subjects that people slander when drunk are 1) Jews and 2) George W. Bush.
Interesting what the "spirits" have to say.
Regardless of the excuse this shrimp's friends have (because it can affect the success of his latest movie and finances), he is on my shit list from now on...
"Frr, frr, frr, FRR, frr, frr! Numb-nuts FRR frr frr frr! I go potty!"
I saw him. I do not think he was drunk. I think he was on some other drug.
Bull Hockey that they were out on an all night bender ... saw Devito on Fox and Friends that morning and he was NOT drunk.
They even talked about it the next day ... the Fox Crew saying they wonder where he went when he left their studio.
This is why the media should report (and the general public should take heed of) all the rubbish these morons spew, as it relates to our President, our global obligations for humanity, our military and our prosperity.
The world is upside down and we have the free press to thank for their twisted influence on the gullible.
sp (seriously p*ss*d)
If Devito is one of the "biggest" Hollywood stars , would hate to see the "smallest".
Brainiac didn't even go to college. Wikipedia makes graduating from high school sound impressive.
I love this telling little comment from Wikipedia about Devito and the 11/29/2006 View Bush-bash: I don't think it should be an article at all, nor should it appear on his main article. It's one little stint that is going to blow over in a day. If we traced every mistake of every Hollywood celebrity the archives would be full of worthless, random junk.
Yet that worthless junk helps define the context of Hollywood idiot blathering.
Clooney and De Vito are birds of a feather.
When asked whether his joke of 'Charlton Heston announced again today that he is suffering from Alzheimer's' had crossed the bounds of decency, George Clooney replied: "I don't care. He is the head of the NRA. He deserves whatever anyone says about him."
Truly tasteless I know - but from the expression on Devito's face - he looks like he's having some pain sitting. What kind of "brutal night" are we talking here?
Hollywood idiot blathering
We ALL saw Devito and we all heard him trash President Bush. The President represents US..American citizens, so we all got the trash that came out of this clown's mouth. I don't think it is funny..since he is only one of a long line of so called entertainers who use their movie persona to get headlines and spout their political ideas. It is discusting, it is anti American and it will happen so long as people laugh. The VIEW panel laughed their heads off. I hope I wasn't the only one to email them with a few tersh comments.
Clooney is another one!
Rosie O'Donnels words on the incident: "Danny DeVito is not an alcoholic," said O'Donnell, who co-hosts morning talk show The View, "He's just a guy who had too many with his friend."
That is it, Rosie should know, she just pulled Devito out of the closet.
um, uhhh, nuh, arg, duh. I'm also a mental midget.
Devito not only mocked President Bush and the American People at the same time, but you can bet that his newest movie Mocks Christmas too.
