So it could have been worse...
Having been behind the wheel of a car that has begun a slide, I can identify with those drivers. You're just praying that either you stop, or at least you don't hurt anyone when you can't!

That's what gets me about ice. In snow, you can usually do OK so long as you take it slow. On pure ice...if you don't have studs or chains, you're pretty much out of luck if you start to slide on a hill. Especially going downhill.
