The Hobbit Hole XXXII - Sweet is the sound of falling rain
The Freeper Hobbit Hole Blog ^ | December 1, 2006

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

He can move it this morning...a little and the swelling has gone down a bit. We're not going to the doctor. He'd just put him in a brace and heck, I can do that!

I'm sneakin'. See ya!

She might still be a LINO - Logan in Name Only, but she was cozied up there with Aaron.

What I want to know is What's up with the VP? Was he behind it? Or is he just an opportunist?

And, They got nerve bringing Karen back still on the ground in DC. I was expecting her to show up at CTU at any time.

...I was expecting her to show up in LA any time too... but Karen's about the most realistic travel scenario of any I've seen on the show.

RE: Aaron.... He's been covering the former first lady, methinks.... ;~)

BTW.... we're taking the kittens, and Cartman (we've been calling him Nana) in to the vets today. Cartman's eye is not doing well, hope for the best.

Heh, heh, heh... she said covering...

Hugs to the kitties. Bless Cartman's heart/eye, etc.

Nana's sort of on an even keel right now. Not good, but not constantly in crisis mode.

This one is my favorite, though... They're Taking The Hobbits To Isengard.

Boil Em, Mash Em, Stick Em In A Stew has it's appeal too. :)

Well, at least he kept the correct tempo. ;o)

You Tube is funny. Any goober with a camera or video editing equipment can create something that can be seen by anyone in the world.

What a fascinating modern age we live in!

Okay, so the Virginia Extension Office is encouraging folks to plant "America's Anniversary Garden" in honor of the 400th anniversary of the founding of Jamestown.

I can do white and red impatiens, but thoughts for blue? We're talking easy to plant/grow, etc.

Discuss.

...Rant...why would he give me a project to do (patching a particular application for DST) and then do it himself? Just went to go apply the patch, and he's on the remote console doing it remotely. And I just spent a bunch of time on research and getting the correct service packs and hotfixes lined up. Grrrrr... *grinds teeth*

I got another bed dug (the small raised bed) and turned The Pile. Hate it when your pile is iced!

Kitty update, and it's hopeful!

We took the kittens in for their shots, all was well, they are thriving... Then went and put them in the truck and brought Cartman in. After initial shock about how his eye looks, we talked about whether or not it hurts, decided to try some drops that ~might~ decrease the pressures in the eye, and discussed a procedure the vet had just read about that involves injecting the eye with some kind of solution that will kill the eye chemically, as an alternative to removal. Would just shrivel it up, she said, and would not be all that expensive... $50 plus anesthesia. Not bad. She's never done it, but would be willing to try it.

We decided that at this point we would try the drops and see if it seemed to do any good at all... since he does get some use out of his 'good' eye still, he's better off with it than without it. But if they get grotesquely huge, or injured or painful, I think it sounds worthwile to try.

She talked about glaucoma being a painful condition and his eyes are certainly enlarged, but they don't seem to be hurting terribly now, he has a content look on his face when he's not all p*ssed off, and he purred in the vets office.

She brought a vet student in to look at it. I always ~love~ to have the animal with the condition they want to show to everyone in the office. ;~\

Anyway... that's the update. Cartman lives.
