The Hobbit Hole XXXII - Sweet is the sound of falling rain
The Freeper Hobbit Hole Blog ^ | December 1, 2006

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

But that's good news... means Friday is that much closer.

Sigh... I wouldn't mind mountains again but the left coast is too far for me. Maybe Talon and I will go to Colorado sometime. Still, Iowa ain't half bad, especially when it's not snowing.

The Stormhands and their diseases...

There are *some* benefits to bein' this far away...

On the other hand, daboss was out yesterday with a sick baby, so I may have cute germs headed my way. Fun.

The prototypes seemed to. Bombers designs developed longer range fast enough (and WWII ended) removing the need for it.

We've got some variants of that that we're playing with. They have rocket and grenade launchers on them too. :-)

That should probably fix the theft problem.

I actually would rather like living in some parts of Wyoming or maybe Idaho.

Trouble is, they'd have the same job problems as small town Vermont, only more so.

Seems to be the catch anywhere - if you want to live truly rural, land and houses are often relatively inexpensive...but good luck on the job front.

And I admit, it *is* nice to live within easy driving distance of places like Best Buy and Barnes and Noble.
