The Hobbit Hole XXXII - Sweet is the sound of falling rain
The Freeper Hobbit Hole Blog ^ | December 1, 2006

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

Series eye candy, that movie is. Gots Christian Bale, Gerard Butler AND Matthew MacConaughey!

When I hear "Christian Bale", I think Empire of the Sun (he was 12) and Branagh's Henry V (15 or 16). Between that and being male, I just can't think "eye candy".

Hard to think of Christina Ricci that way, either (sizzle!).

When I see Christina Ricci, I think of all the goth style characters she's played, but mostly her character in the movie Monster. *shudder* Actually, two of my nephews are in that movie, because the director, Patty Jenkins is their aunt. I saw one of them, but was popping in and out and didn't watch the whole movie, so I didn't the the other one.

Monster

Missed that one. Saw a pic in Parade Sunday and *poof* there went my mental image of Wednesday Addams 2.0.

Tired here too. We went to Home Despot and bought a brad nailer and air compressor. Talon is happy. And I got on my new elliptical trainer for fifteen minutes and nearly died, I am soooo out of shape. But I'm happy because that is one nice machine.

Hey there... did you see the update that the truck that knocked out our power was an overturned septic truck... not an overturned propane truck?

So... yeah - I guess that's better - yikes.

Yah. Saw that. For some reason it reminded me of the story of "Joe Dirt". That's the sort of thing that would happen to him.

SirKit bought himself an air compressor and some air tools a couple of years ago. One of the tools is a framing nailer we call 'Glamdring'. When we were talking about doing the addition, we were doing it with a 'Middle Earth' theme, thus, the name of the nailer, a smaller nail gun we called 'Sting', and of course, the front loader-backhoe we named 'Gimli'!
