Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
Does Rosie have time before work?
cookies are a dish best served cold...or something like that...
God bless Algore the Father of the Internet.
Jack cookies?
Steve missed it last night...the boys got Batman Begins from Blockbuster and that's what they watched.
I don't watch 24. Wish I could, but it makes me so jumpy I can't get to sleep later on!
We got a movie called "Mystery, Alaska" over the weekend. Steve's begged me for years to watch it. I asked Steve if the boys could watch it. He said "Maybe, but let's watch it first to make sure."
Steve loved it. He laughed. He cried. It moved him, Bob.
I sincerely thought it was the most revolting movie I have ever sat through in my life. It was cheesy. It was truly and I mean truly mind-numbingly stupid. It was disgusting. It was like my senses were being pummeled with unending idiocy. I would rather lick the inside of a dumpster before watching that again. After the first five minutes, I turned to Steve and said "I don't think the boys can see this." I didn't say anything else, because Steve apparently just loved it. Had I not had my cholesterol medicine and sipped on it the entire time, I would consider that hour and a half the most sad waste of time out of my life I've ever experienced.
I didn't care for it...can you tell?
;-)
Jack's not gonna like that.
Maybe Jack ~is~ Batman.
Poor Steve. I bet it made him feel bad that you didn't like something he's so fond of.
Well, he does have all those cool toys...
In other news, I just realized that the pants I'm wearing have a rip just above the right knee. And I've only had this pair for about a month.
~sigh~
Yeah...Rudy was GREAT!
At the end, when they lost...I was already up and standing by the DVD player waiting to eject it. I turned to Steve and said "They LOST??? Are you KIDDING me??" Steve was seriously moved by it and again, I didn't say anything more...but I could not believe they lost after I sat there all that time.
Steve's from Northern Minnesota and I think he could relate to it in some way, which is an extremely disquieting thought to me.
;-D
I don't think he had a clue.
Unless he reads it here...which I doubt he will, but knowing him, he'd probably think I'm funny.
He thinks I'm pretty generally funny.
Heh...Steve is all the time telling the boys *he's* Batman. I don't know why...it's a running joke they've had for years.
Joshua even got him a plush blanket with Batman on it a couple of years ago to wrap up in when he's in his truck, because his truck heat isn't very good.
RINO!
oops...sorry, wrong thread...
Watch it...I'm not kidding. That's how it started with us...a tear here, knick out there...then suddenly we realized that all our clothes had holes in them and it was our dryer doing it!
Yah, but these are dry clean only. From the looks of this, I caught it on a desk somewhere.
Ahh...
Well, I'm paranoid, I know. I constantly scan our clothes as I pull them out of the dryer. It was quite a blow and financial hardship at that time to have to replace all our clothes!!
*sigh*
I'm reminded once again how glad I am Steve is done with school!!!
The latest scuttlebutt from over at the store is that it was not a propane truck, but a septic truck that turned over and took out a pole. Eeeewwww...
Ewwww!!!
Did I ask you a while back about a humidifier around electronics? Well, I got one and put it in the boys room (Xbox, TV, DVD player). Joshua's hands were just like parchment paper.
One night enclosed with that humidifier and he's already much improved!! I hope it doesn't hurt the electronics, but oh well!
"You'd think they could come up with something better than a brain cloud "!
