The Hobbit Hole XXXII - Sweet is the sound of falling rain
The Freeper Hobbit Hole Blog ^ | December 1, 2006

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

See, now I need a picture of someone holding it, or, even better, firing it ...

This is the best I could do on short notice: Dutch Marine with a P90.

The color reproduction isn't right, everything is too blue, including the black P90.

That's a verrrrry nasty-looking weapon! But, you're right, it does look natural in the Dutch LEO's hand.

What are you going to mount on the rails?

What are you going to mount on the rails?

Check out the Bass Pro Flyer in today's KC 'Red' Star. It's opening soon.

Do they have an online version? Don't want to give money to the Red Star.

Okay....found the S&W for $150 and the $50 off on the Beretta but I can't zoom in the page and read the fine print.

Guess I could turn on thedesktop to get a larger image.

I think I'm going to have to relocate the rhubarb and coneflower to the front planter box to keep the rabbits from nibbling them down to nubs.

Sounds like a plan, bunnies can be troublesome at time.

We're back, Gypsygirl had a good walk through the north part of ourshire, all's well. ('cept for where there's ice).

re: BassPro, will be interesting to see the loss leaders there, comparison shopping with Cabela's and Dick's can be fun.

I still need an air rifle for squirrel-popping purposes.

Heh. I need to find out where Dick's is to see which of the three is closest. Cabelas is so far out there (at least for me when all I want to do on the weekends is stick close to home) that I'd just as soon order from the catalog.

Well, Cabela's has a good selection, their last catalog showed a full page of them. Don't have much experience with current selection of air rifles. Most seem to be .177 caliber but there are .22 caliber air rifles as well.
