The Hobbit Hole XXXII - Sweet is the sound of falling rain
The Freeper Hobbit Hole Blog ^ | December 1, 2006

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

That's very good news about the beaglepup! They are very, very cute dogs, but they just don't have an "off" switch.

Do any dogs have an off switch?

I haven't found Cisco's yet...

Maybe Cisco is part beagle?

Gypsy has an action off switch, she is a very, very good house dog, course she's a lot older (she turns seven next month). She doesn't have a hunger off-switch, unfortunately, but luckily she's not a counter-jumper. She just looks at you with those big brown eyes, "mom, I'm still hungry." We've got to keep her around 55 pounds, though, so I'm standing firm (most of the time).

They need Anna's DNA to make sure the baby CreepJob Stern brings to court is actually Anna's.

Also, there's a question about whether or not Anna had a baby --- apparently there are virtually no pictures of her pregnant.

The possible baby daddies are:

I keep trying to get away from it ...

Why do I keep getting this feeling that there's a new reality show buried in here somewhere? [Whooose yerDaddy?]

That hilarious and so sad at the same time! I've been reading about Howard K. Stern being one of the possibilities. Is that THE nasty radio show host? GAK! I'd sure hate the thought of that baby being raised by THAT!

I don't think he's any part beagle, but he is part Border. Means he has about 378% more energy than the typical lab. Or about that.

He's pretty good in the house, but when he's excited about anything, he has to be told about a zillion times to lie down.

Very nice.

Love Marlin. My first gun was a Marlin Golden Mountie lever 22 that Dad got me when I was 10. I'm still proud of that thing.

I've been taking more than a passing interest in a Marlin 30-30 lever lately. Can't really explain that.

That's a solid 150 yd rifle... quick handling... reliable... I'm not really a fan of 30-30 tho... I'd go with .444, .450 Marlin, or good ole 45/.70... you can knock somethin' down with those...

No, no ... we would all be better of if it was ShockJock Stern. Instead, it's CreepJob (supposedly not related), the only person who was present at the deaths of Anna's son and Anna.

If it was ShockJock Stern, at least we'd know the baby wouldn't be the only source of income in the family.

Yah. Fair point. My only real interest is a historical one, which is admittedly not a strong argument since I seem to have missed my chance to get the real thing in Winchester (new in the box anyway). The cartridge itself is not terribly useful. In fact... since I have a pretty heavy investment already in .357 I've considered getting one in that just to be able to carry one kind of ammo. There's a certain utility in that. But of course, a sacrifice in power.

But all of this is just thinkin.

Part of me wants an AR-15 too. Just for old times sake. :-)

had a friend that got one in .44... tuh match his Ruger .44... decent man killer out to 120 yds... dunno if'n I'd try a deer with it...

the extra velocity you get outta the .357 rifle is nothing to sneeze at... but it's still a pistol cartridge... good survival/getaway system tho...

I got a DPMS lower receiver... savin' up pennies tuh get an upper...

DJ on the radio played "Love Stinks" while I was on my way home.

After a day of being surrounded by flowers and balloons for other folks, I guess I can identify.

Least I got some free chocolate, I guess.

A FReeper on one of the early threads right after ANS's death called her death "the Tabloid Full Employment Act of 2007", and I sort of have to agree with that.
