The Hobbit Hole XXXII - Sweet is the sound of falling rain
The Freeper Hobbit Hole Blog ^ | December 1, 2006

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

Aw, she must *love* that!

Back from church. Still haven't done grocery shopping. Sure is a purty day out there.

Went to church. Went to Best Buy to look at tvs. Went to Target for random stuff, the mall for vibrating slipper massage things (mmm... happy feet) and Home Depot for supplies to do the ceiling painting.

Now it's three o'clock and I am not sure any painting will get done. Tired from all those errands!

Joseph is putting lasagna together. We're doing a Home Depot run after Mass. SirKit is moving some plumbing around in the wall behind our tall kitchen cabinets so we can do the new pipe run when we move the wall to increase the size of the Master Bathroom. That will also facilitate running the plumbing up to the third floor for the new bathroom up there.

Drat! I didn't realize I was out of hot lemon pepper seed and I already sent in my seed order. Oh well. I found some dried lemon pepper from last year. Guess I'll find out if they're hyprid or not.

I still need to do laundry, straighten up the kitchen, get groceries, and figure out what I'm going to eat this week. In kinda that order.

Painting is always kinda fun! It's the prep for painting that's a pain in the posterior.

Heh...I'm also trying to think of people to call just so I have an excuse to play with the new toys.

Westminster is on tonight. The cats like to watch the shows more than the pups. Which always makes me chuckle.

They roll their eyes a lot - all those puppies prancing around acting like prima donnas.

It's always something with you, isn't it?

Should I get popcorn? I'm off to the grocery...

It's not really popcorn worthy. And it's really hard to start a panic around here anymore.

It's just that I was trimming the beard his morning around 6:30. Switched the guards from the beard trimmer to the mustache trimmer...so I thought.

Before I realized I didn't put a guard back on, half the mustache was gone. So I just shaved completely. First time in 2 or so years.

The funniest thing is that, even though I went to church, sang in the choir, went to lunch with the family, went to Luke's birthday party and came home, so far Jr. is the only one to notice.

It usually takes the Mrs. a while to notice. Jr. and I are just waiting to see how long.

Mwahaha. On the other hand, if you always shaved she'd notice fast enough.

So tired feeling today. Not sure why. But we got an awesome humidifier and an air freshner and wow, the place feels so good.

Not the beard! Pretty traumatic experience for a dwarf, huh?

Well...at least it ranks among the smaller disasters in the Stormhands household...

I have artichokes and beer. This also feels so good.

Incidentally, if you have an Albertsons there...I think their sales are almost across the board rather than just local, and they have artichokes two for three dollars right now.

Having a hard lemonade here. So bleah tonight, I might just go to bed early.
