Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
Oh honey, we've all known that I've had problems for years...
LOL!
So...what was the second step?
Funny, I think the same thing about NaNoWriMo every November 28th or so....
I've never made it to the second step...
I even like Cocoon 2, though it's not as logical as the first movie.
You're freaking me out here ... have either of you seen The Abyss?
Another one of those "Aliens good, humans bad" movies, but it's still a great story and the cinematography was awesome!!
Just how cold is it there? Our David now has a car, so he doesn't have to wait for the bus anymore if he doesn't want to, so that's good.
Spoiler font to confirm...Does it involve a space ship found underwater, that turns out to be from the future - a la "Sphere", only different?
One of my all-time favorite movies, along with "Stripes" and "Kelly's Heroes".
I gotta tell you what happened to me last night...
Steve's truck died, so we were actually pushing it to the car repair place (which is a few blocks from our house). It was hard work, but a neighbor saw us and offered to pull the truck with his truck. So I started back to the house. It was pretty cold out and I had worked up a sweat pushing the truck, so I was really cold. So the UPS guy drives by our truck and stops! I think he's going to give me a ride to my house! He actually just stopped to tell me he was driving through a big puddle, to wait till he drove by so he wouldn't splash me. I didn't realize that though and started to get in! He says "NO! I'll get fired!" Oh....ok. I was confused because I thought that he said I could ride along, but you know I'm so deaf and with the motor of his big brown truck, I must've misunderstood. So, he proceeds through the puddle and stops down the street and is delivering packages. Just as I approached my yard, so is he...dropping off a package at my very house. He looked at me like "What is she doing?" and I just looked directly back at him, my eyes never left his and I lifted up my hand and opened the garage door with the garage door opener. Then I turned and picked up my packages and went inside.
LOL!! He mighta though you were stalking him, 2J! Smart move with the garage door opener, though!
Having a late afternoon cup of coffee waiting for SirKit to get back from his errands. Gots Seafood Gumbo on the stove and it smells GOOD!
Well, we'll see what happens after that last performance. ;o) It's addictive, I tell ya!
May be...he did look a bit nervous...like he thought I was up to something. But sheesh, I told him I lived just down the street!
I understood his position, but it made me feel bad. As I was walking home trying not to slip, seeing him tooling along, I thought about James Kim...would he have given him a ride???
I'm with ya on the coffee!
You obviously didn't look bedraggled enough! But I'm sure he WAS just worried about losing his job. Too many folks have nothing better to do than drop a dime on folks they think are doing wrong. If some busybody saw him giving someone a ride, they just might call UPS and report it, no matter how much the rider needed the lift.
Oh, I know. I really can't blame him and kept telling myself that. But it was just a bit discouraging.
~sigh~
Well, while the world is going to Hell in a handbasket...my Bug parts came in! Woohoo! New floor pans, new heater channel, new front chassis support beam!
All right! Bug work this weekend!
No spoilers, but be prepared to see future comedy greats and near-greats just starting out in the movie bidness.
