The Hobbit Hole XXXII - Sweet is the sound of falling rain
The Freeper Hobbit Hole Blog ^ | December 1, 2006

Posted on 12/01/2006 12:55:15 PM PST by ecurbh

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

The bad guys know he's somewhere in the Olympia area ... but there's a whole lotta places to look ... and the storm's about to hit ...

Oh, right! Sorry I was thinking 'action' plotlines and not 'romance/porn' plot. The blowing up of the house will have to come later.

<nodding> Exactly. With an RPG.

Talon, you wanna help me write this one?

A guy like that gets shot around these parts... unromantic as that sounds!

Only if he's seen ...!

And then I sneak out the back door over to Hair and ecurbh's, hopefully find a gun or crowbar or some such thing, and off him before he comes to.

Not if he catches you first ...

Yes yes, an RPG, naturally. Is this a snow storm or a rain/wind storm? Just thinking about what kind of transportation would be needed to flee the explosion.

She is so uncooperative... might have to get her knocked out or something early on.

You're a little too good at these ome invader scenarios.

Poor Rosie, I think she should be in a sweet-but-slow English-tea-garden romance story. Like Jane Austen.

It's a rain/wind storm. Downed branches, uprooted trees, limited mobility ...

Just thinking about what kind of transportation would be needed to flee the explosion.

I thought about them taking the horses. What with the downed trees and all, horseback is possibly the most efficient method of travel readily available.

Hah! I just got a solicitation for a short story based on a perfect romantic scene ... we should write this up and submit it!

She could wake up on horseback, the trailer in flames in the distance ...

At which point Cisco rips out his throat.

Cisco's over at Hair's, playing with Homer and Gypsy.

That likely means snow.

Oh, that will be hilarious! David didn't get snow up here in New England over Christmas, but goes back to Texas and gets it!

trying to one-up one another with how smart and philosophical they are is so mentally exhausting that I was on edge the whole time.

It's just boring to me! I'd rather read a book, or even more galling to folks like that; watch TV! LOL!

could be some nice guys in your area who just assume all the local girls are insane and don't bother trying any more.

ROTFL! You're probably right!

The internet was no help in finding the artist that does those "spot the 51 pintos in among the rocks and snow" pictures.

Evenin' everyone. Just in from PA where we spent a long weekend. I'm amazed at all the ice in the midwest. (Guess I made it out of OK just in time!) Y'all stay safe and thaw out soon!!
