Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
Still getting iced yourself there?
LOL... Jeez... Berkeley. It's like a whole 'nother banana republic. I've gotten over there a couple of times during visits to our office in Oakland. It's become self-parody.
Yep...the temp is in the 20s now and falling rapidly according to my weather bug.
The thing is, we're soaking soaking wet.
Horses fighting over ecurbh on the way out.
Big hay pile for a small pony :~)
And one artsy shot across the frozen pasture :~)
And on top of it all, I have a splitting headache...sinus, you know. I took some Advil and a Sudafed.
Well, stay inside and stay warm.
At least you don't have outdoor critters to manage!
Oh, dear... well, of all the things you can worry about and can't change, the weather is about tops. just gotta go with it.
I personally wouldn't mind a couple inches of snow, we haven't gotten any. Man it's cold! Still about 20 but windy and my hands are all tingly from fetching lunch.
Steve's on his way home...they've let him leave. I'll check in when I can.
Tight fit!
Miss Peege in her computer case bed watching the snow fall:
Okay. I used the flash and you can't see the snow coming down.
I've been trying to get the truck scrapped off enough to go to the grocery store; my fingers finally froze so I'm in warming up. We are getting sleet here right now on top of the ice. Lovely Kansas City weather!!

Steve's a couple of miles away...our driveway is a sheet of ice. I just poured salt under where the garage door comes in contact with the floor of the garage...so it won't stick.
Sigh...
Guess my fingers are still froze, sorry for the double post!
What a nice neighborhood!
Heh heh...that is tight!
Kitty looks cozy and warm!
HI Hair - everyone - wanted to drop in unannounced and ask if I can recommend the HHDthread as an introduction to FReeperism to a friend of mine who just joined - I THINK her moniker is "II2None59" - and Ive warned her about some of the woolier parts of FR - but knew that you guys were a REALLY great bunch of people and so wanted her to have GOOD experiences with Free Republic.
(Hi there!!)
Yeah, it's pretty nice. I guess I can pick nice neighborhoods.
It's not doing much of anything right now although there's a nice blob on the radar headed this way. I've got laundry going.
I did my grocery shopping on Wednesday to avoid the rush.
Well, welcome aboard to your friend!
We're not ~too~ wooly in here. Mostly. 'cept fer the dwarves. don't mind them. After a while you don't even really notice the smell so much.
I went shopping Wednesday, too. I'm fearing this storm is going to be worse than they thought, so I needed to get more milk. I splurged and bought an "inverter" yesterday so we can at least have fresh coffee if the power goes out.
