The Hobbit Hole XXXII - Sweet is the sound of falling rain
The Freeper Hobbit Hole Blog ^ | December 1, 2006

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

You can make some tacky shades for the glowsticks. Like a tube of plastic or other translucent material with peace signs or tacky "Volkswagon" flowers stuck on 'em.

I don't think I'd care for the tacky ones. That tacky adhesive might adhere to my paint.

I'll get magnetic ones if I get any.

;-)

Well, the head shop has closed (thinks that make you go hmmmmm...) and the beaded curtains at Spencer's were too expensive. But we're making progress.

That said, my eyesight was a LOT better the last time I tried to string love beads.

I can't remember who is the big bittorrent fan, but I just downloaded some AVIs, and can't find the proper codec to play them. I tried about four different packages from a google search of "torrent" and "avi", and none of them recognize the format. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Download the VLC media player instead. It plays almost everything and it's pretty simple to use. Codec packs can start conflicting with each other and be a pain in the butt but VLC is sweet.

I'm up! Heh. Red-eye had me walking in the door at 0300 this morning. Ugh. But I'm home and beat a storm out. They're predicting freezing rain all over the place. Stay safe, sis!

Morning Hair, 23 here, 3 WC, icy mist scattered across the metro. Looks to be an ice storm heading towards 2J and G'nad.

Going to the DMV for a new picture & DL, hope they take the right picture this time, the last one shows this grizzled old phart instead of me.

I gots the 'approved' forms of id. good times ahead.

22 here. They're predicting winter weather to include snow this weekend but hey, they've been wrong about that before...

I hope it's not too bad tomorrow, I'm planning to make Talon take me 'out' to celebrate it being one year since we got engaged.

m'off today...God bless Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson. Today is Lee-Jackson Day. Used to be that Monday was Lee-Jackson-King Day, but they changed that a few years back.

Workin' on the party today. Much to do.
