The Hobbit Hole XXXII - Sweet is the sound of falling rain
The Freeper Hobbit Hole Blog ^ | December 1, 2006

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

Thanks for letting us know about LCS, Hair! I'll put him on our Parish Prayer list for this week!

Joshua is what my Daddy used to call "An accident going somewhere to happen".
God Bless him! He's just an active, curious little boy and sometimes those two traits don't get along too well together. ;o)

Back from the Plaza....full as a tick!

Quite a visual you've painted there, OT!! Glad you had a good lunch. Any leftovers for dinner?

In other good news, I didn't need to get a new crown, hurray. The current one just had a hole drilled in it, so Dr. Z justed filled it up!

Actually if one of us is in bed and they can get to the bed, they will jump into bed. They are pretty good about not getting on the furniture without being invited otherwise. Though they have started trying to stand on the couch to look out the window.

It was pretty cute though, coming in and seeing the dog there, tail wagging, all stretched out.

Nope, no leftovers. I don't think I'll be hungry tonight for more than a salad,though. And eggnog.

Hope Dr. Z wasn't too disappointed about losing a crown sale. :)

No, he didn't seem to be, BUT, he did see OB yesterday afternoon, and OB is going to need some serious repair work on one of his earliest (think, 33 years ago) root canals. Hmmmm, could there be a corelation??? Surely not!

The man's gotta make some money! :)

Don't they give 50 year warranties on root canals?

he'd say, "Well...let me tell you about what *my* daughter did..."

Heh, Tell Margaret that if we parents have to live through it too, emergency room trips and all, we have the right to continue the stories into perpetuity! ;o)

Interestingly, the only one of our kids ever to break a bone was Clare! She was 4 and Joseph was 2, and they were jumping on her bed. She lost her balance, and whacked her elbow on one of the side rails of her day bed.

If I remember correctly, LCS was going to have to have his foot amputated. He seemed content with the decision, but it will be hard for him. Is there any way you could get a snail mail addy for LCS from his brother? I'd love to send a card to him.

I'm going to ask, when his brother answers me, for the addy at the hospital where we can send some things to him.
