Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
I'm sorry Jen! I'm just now seeing this!
Sounds like electrolyte deficiency. Potassium, likely. Eat moor nanners. :-)
They had to put me on electrolytes when I was about your age...I was also having leg cramps and neck cramps. At one point, my neck got a spasm in it that was so awful that it felt like my head was going to turn clear 'round like in The Exorcist! My folks had to rush me to the ER!
They put me on potassium and gave me some GOOOOOOOD valium!
Mmmmm! Valium! I believe it was the first time in my life I ever keyed totally down. Heh heh!
Anyway, you should definitely take your vitamins, but make sure you're getting your enough potassium and calcium too.
If I gotta bug completely out...I'm heading for theridge.
Better warn 'em you're comin! ;o)
I imagine we'll come in the Beetle...they'll hear us for miles.
;-D
Could you point me in the direction of them $12 thumbdrives, sir...
Ok! I think my vitamin is high in potassium... I have taken potassium before because I was vaguely aware it was important and I don't think I get any naturally. I sort of hate bananas because of their texture. And their taste. And their smell. And that whole peel thing.
Thanks, I can handle a vitamin imbalance. The freaky spasm thing though...
Micro Center may not list them at their web site, but they have boxes of the stuff at the checkout counter. Micro Center
For about $40 you can own a certified bulletproof USB drive:
I went to the Mormon site, which talks about food preparedness. Food is always important, water even more so.
My minimal criteria for preparedness includes a handgun (a verboten subject in all government publications on preparedness), a sheath knife, multiple sources of fire and light, and a supply of prescription and non-prescription meds. Also some form of first aid kit, a compass, whistle, and signal mirror.
LOL! You crack me up :-)
For everyone (like me) who has trouble seeing the "holiday classics" because you never know when they're going to be on... or if you don't have television reception... here are two of my all time favorites, on YouTube:
How the Grinch Stole Christmas
Quality not as good as TV or DVD, but then again you can watch it when you want, and without shelling out $20 for the DVD!
That's...rather scary, actually.
Fortunately, for that we have grandma.
Actually I'm not sure she bought those two (I probably did), but for a while she was making sure Jr. had every major Disney video.
Joshua is going to be the death of me, sis. I swear, he's going to cause me to have a heart attack.
You may or may not know, but when he was a baby and I would be holding him...if he decided it was time to get down he would just flip backward to get down. It took me a couple of near misses before I learned to be constantly vigilant.
Then you know he was flipping through the living room and sat on the pencil a week or so ago...
Yesterday he came in the living room, very upset and saying "I'm sorry, Mom! I'm sorry!" The very inner aspect of his left eye was bleeding. The very point where his upper and lower lid meet near his nose was scratched and bleeding.
After a thorough check, I could tell there was no other damage, just the scratch. I found out that he had thought he had dropped something behind his dresser, so he climbed up on the dresser to look behind. He couldn't see what he wanted, so he leaped BACKWARD through the air to get down off the dresser and as he came down, his eye caught on the corner of the top drawer, that was open.
Very close call.
He was upset because he didn't want to tell me because I had burst into tears when he stuck himself with the pencil and I got all that blood on me and I thought it had really impaled him. I cried with relief and stress when I realized he just got stuck a bit under his cheek.
The boy is destined for the olympics as a gymnast.... (((hugs to all)))
Once or twice a year, I get a little cramp in the front of my throat...more like a hard pinch really. It didn't last long usually, but it did make me concentrate on relaxing and breathing. Once, I forced out a belch (hey, I am G'nad's wife)and it went away. It doesn't happen often, but when it does, that works like a charm.

God loves fools and children. I'm glad he's ok.

That's an interesting solution. I'll have to remember it.
Talon's sick in bed today. Yawn. I'm going in to work now, leaving him to suffer. I was downstairs starting laundry and one of the puppies crawled into bed with him. They know they're not supposed to do that.
