Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
OK good! - we'll be going up as early as we can make it in the morning... considering that we have to sip a little coffee and get stalls cleaned first and all.
Just more fiction...just with more time to think about it is all. I want to rewrite my current story, which is bscially sci-fi, and then I have a mystery to try and a sort of a love story.
Wish I had more short story ideas, though. I need to practice that.
Er...ignore the typos...haven't had coffee yet.
I am thinking about doing a couple short stories but we'll see how pressed I am for time this month.
That's the beauty of post-NaNo writing...you can do it whenever the mood strikes and you have time, but there's no pressure. ;-)
Unless you have family hounding you to read it when they visit for Christmas. Urgh. It's maybe a third finished at 50K.
Could even print book copies eventually, even if you never try to publish. I used this site to do that book for my little sister. Cost me something like seven dollars for a copy, as I recall, which isn't that bad, really. They didn't have the hard cover option when I did it.
In my case, I just completed my post-NaNo ritual of printing out what I've written, so I can stash that stack o' paper somewhere. Gives me a hard copy backup before I start hacking away at the thing.
Heh, our Christmas Tree is packed in the trailer, along with all our other Christmas decorations. I have a couple of smaller ones, though, that we'd used in other rooms at Christmas, so I'll decorate one of those. The kids will be glad they won't be asked to put 'all 600' of the ornaments on the tree this year. ;o)
Miss Peege napping whilst I work among the plants:
Okaaaayyy....
Peege the half-a-cat?
I guess it was too warm under there to be a totally disappeared cat.
600?!?! That's a lot of ornaments, How big a tree do you usually have?
Heh, well, we knew that if anyone could do it, you would be the one. Cute pic of MissKitty. OB & LSA
Perhaps I should be more diligent about watering and fertilizing. I also have a couple of cherry tomatoes that have blooms and little 'maters coming.
I'm just sayin', is all :)
How long before the squirrels break and enter? ;-)
I just have many clones of the original plants I had when I moved in. The one that was by the sink when I got here is now three plants which keep growing too big and having to be trimmed. And the monster plant also has offspring, and I really should cut it back, too. Gave one of the cuttings to my sister-in-law, but I think it died.
