Read the first panel and Jason's line in the second. That sums it all up.

I'd rather be a loony Neanderthal than a communist.

Yep, at least the neanderthal has room to grow. Communism in all its forms is a dead end.

LOL..once there was a Hi & Lois cartoon where Hi's boss was yelling "We should get the government out of our lives!", and Hi says "You used to be such a liberal. What happened?", and the boss says, "Taxes".

There was also a BC comic where the teacher says "Republicans are called the Right Wing because they sit on the right side or Congress. Can anybody tell me what the Democrats are called who sit on the other side?", and Johnny says, "The Wrong Wing?"

Very true. And I saw the "Ever hear the phrase 'Don't mess with Massachussetts'?" banner on your page...

Once there was a Get Fuzzy comic where Rob says he bought Bucky the cat in Massachussetts, and Bucky says, "Oh great! I'm a friggin' communist!"

Get Fuzzy isn't usually political, of course, but Bucky is definitely the conservative, Rob is the liberal, and Satchel is just clueless (probably a moderate).

How much trouble are newspapers in?

Even their comic strip artists are quitting "to explore other media platforms."

The comics are the only thing I miss about the paper I stopped getting 4 years ago. But I can usually find them on the internet. I love this one. Thanks for posting it. Now if only Calvin was back.
