I think you read to much into the ads. I've seen them and I don't draw your conclusions.

You have any links? I agree though, all car manufacturers are trying to foolishly target gays and lesbians under the mistaken assumption that they are rich, when in fact, they are usually struggling artists or waiters or municipal workers.

Are you dense?
It seemed very apparent to me that the people in the ads were neighbors unsure of which spouse gave them the car as a present.

The two guys walk out of two separate houses and neither of them knows whether or not his wife bought him the car. (It's the same thing for the two women.)

I saw the one with the two guys and I turned to wife and asked her if it was a queer ad. She said yes.
I mean, c'mon. It's one guy buying a car for another guy...who's going to clean out the garage.
How gay.

Dude, that was not the point of the commercials at all.
If the two women or the two men were a couple, they would not be confused as to who just got a car for Christmas.
The point is that they are both hoping their spouse bought it for them, with the implication being that the spouse who didn't is going to look bad by comparison.
Maybe dumb television commercials are a bit too advanced for you.

"Brian Bolain, Lexus' national advertising and media manager outlines the process that led Lexus into the market in a Gay365.com interview. Being gay himself, Bolain elaborated on how and why Toyota rolled out Scion to the gay community, and how such lessons are being applied to the company's upscale Lexus brand."
