In this world of pain, confusion and question, today we give pause. We dont today focus on the half empty cup but rather CHOSE to look at the joy of life, the blessings of life and the friendships of life.
Today we give thanks to God for his gift of life & blessings in this troubled world.
We give thanks to friends and family for the gifts of friendship and joy they share with us
Today is day ONE of the LONG 4-day Thanksgiving Weekend here at the Singles Thread.
We are thankful that Jim & John Robinson have given us a cozy cyber room in the forum for us to chat.
Our singles family is diverse & NOT without internal problems. But we are doing our best to be here for our friends of all ages & all walks of life. If you are single or a friend of any of us, you are most welcome to drop in & chat & share. The doors will be open all weekend to visit.
May our God keep all in His protective love.
Whether with a group or alone, whether at home or traveling , whether content or troubled, may TODAY be a day of peace & of reflection of the blessings we do have.
Feel free to share your greetings, graphics, joys, pains. This is a thread of openness & friendship & sharing.
I am grateful for many things this day..my God, my family, my friends, but profoundly grateful I was born in America. I am thankful to my president for his leadership and the fine example in marriage he provides. I am thankful for the troops who are serving and far from the homes & families that today have an empty seat. I love my country
Dolly.

Hi thanks for the ping.
I boiled the carcase of the duck up today with the left over gravy added some parsnips, potato and small amount of turkey breast that I had in the freezer plus some green bean. Boiled for about an hour and then transferred to the slow cooker for about 4 hours half an hour before I wanted to eat I made the dumplings and pop some of the cold stuffing into the oven to re-crisp.
Both dad and I really enjoyed it.

Insurance business is good...kids are mostly good. Cody has pneumonia, and has a terrible cough, but he's starting to eat better now.
