He croons songs including "Frosty the Snowman" on the festive CD 'Happy Holidays.'
Billy Idol has stunned his diehard fans by ditching his punk image to record an album of classic Christmas songs.
The rocker croons a selection of songs including "Frosty the Snowman," "Winter Wonderland" and "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" on the festive CD 'Happy Holidays.'
And the British rocker insists he had no trouble hitting the right notes, because the songs just flowed out of him.
He says, "These songs were a challenge to sing as so many other singers have interpreted them in their own style.
"It was fun to come up against all that and find that these songs sing themselves."
*ick*
Now *that* was surrealistic.
[I kept waiting for the spiked glove to appear...or at least a guttural grunt accompanied by the obligatory punctuating pelvic thrust]
And Danzig will do "Santa Rides" on his next album.
[just checkin' to see how many metal heads are lurking]....;D
This album has not hit the iTunes store yet.
I will serve no post before its time.
John Lydon had it right when he said that "Billy Idol is the Perry Como of punk". At least that's what Billy told me he said...
He looks great!
Hi I note that Steve Stevens was his guitarist back then, but who is the guitarist on a video clip on youtube where billy sings jingle bell rock, as it dosen’t look like steve stevens...I have been racking my brain with this one for 2 days now...
