Game makers pay for the priviledge of making games for a particular game system, payouts vary from sizable upfront fees to negligible per unit sold fees.

In which case it's kinda disingenuous to say Sony is losing $300 per console. Other income sources are covering the cost of the consoles, so the project still show a profit, even if the retail price of the hardware doesn't cover the cost of the console. In the long term, Sony isn't going to lose money on the PS3.

It's not disingenuous at all. When a unit is sold they could very well be losing $300 at the time of the sale. Just because that sale creates secondary sales opportunities that should more than make up for that money doesn't mean they don't lose $300 on that sale. If something happens and they don't get those secondary sales they could be in deep doo-doo because of the money lost on the hardware. In the long run of course they should be fine and won't lose money on the PS3 project as a whole but that doesn't change the fact that right now every single sale is taking money out of their bank account.

Falcon 3.0 pushed the boundaries of Air Combat Sims. The HUD worked as well the radar modes and the MFD's. It had good imitation of aerodynamics, pilot fatigue, g force, fuel burn etc.

HUD worked

Of course in 1991 when it came out, you were still in the real thing.

You're better off with Brothers in Arms over Call of Duty.

Shame about the Wii's launch lineup getting neutered, though. The best they can offer is a Gamecube port? Come on, Nintendo.
