Tabatabainejad, who was arrested for resisting and obstructing a police officer, was later released on his own recognizance.
(snip)
There is no phone listing for Tabatabainejad and neither he nor his attorney could be located for comment.
Uh, this doesn't seem entirely right...

That's why I dumped it in chat for now..
it may well be a developing,, seems too 'innocent' tho, not likely staged but that was a snappy retort to make as a statement.. we'll see.
I , for one, would be curious as to what kind of stuff he was up to on the computers in the lab... but that's just me. :-)

"This is a long-standing library policy to ensure the safety of students during the late-night hours," said UCLA Police Department spokeswoman Nancy Greenstein. Instead, Greenstein encouraged others at the library to join his resistance, police said. When a crowd began to gather they used the stun gun on him.
What's up with that?

Nice catch; he basically tried to shift blame from the Turkish Moslems to the American consulate.

Impressive catch...my googling of him was fruitless.
sarcasm
Certainly seems consistent with his level of intelligent seriousness.

Here's video footage of it from youtube:

A student caught this with his video camera. I don't agree with these police tactics whatsoever. They basically tortured the guy with a taser when these so-called "men" could have easily dragged him out of the building.
