Hey fellow freepers. I'm trying to help a non-computer savvy friend in a bad neighborhood arm himself to protect his family.

A modest budget restricted him from affording a glock or a sig, but he called me a couple of days ago to inform me he had purchased a new, full size Sigma S9VE. I was horrified initially, but weve fired 200 rounds through it so far, and it works fine.

It came with one high cap and two ten rounders. He wants to have at least two more high cap 16 round (or are they 17?). The problem is this.

I've been able to find plenty of ten rounders for it, and plenty of 40 cal high caps for the 40 SW version, but aside from some $40 new mags from brownell, no high caps.

I usually get my glock mags from CDNN, but currently, they dont have any sigma mags.

Does any freeper have said mags in a drawer somewhere they might let go for a reasonable price, or know where I might be able to find some used LEO only trade in 9mm high cap mags?

I wouldnt trade my glock for this sigma, but its a decent handgun..for anyone who is wondering..he paid $299 new for it.

Can anyone help?

Not to interrupt the party, but I have always wondered whether the late-night gun questions were a legal setup with JimRob as the target.

Naah

Been a freeper a long time, I just wanted to see if anyone here could help me..Ive run into a brick wall trying to find these things on the web.

If he had a glock, I could find him all the mags he could stand.

Thanks Bob

But those things are $59.00 a piece even for the ten rounders there..

man...thats probably one reason why the gun was soo cheap.

factory mags are stainless, while others are blue steel.

Still looking, however.

I don't know. But the poster sounds like someone who doesn't know the difference between a wheel-gun and a Walther, a Ruger from a Remington, a Smith from a Savage, or a Daly from a derringer.

Every used mag I've seen for sale was being dumped for good reason, he is better off not depending on unreliable junk. He can raise a pretty good ruckus with what he has already, if the gun is reliable with them.

Y'all might want to consider gettin' one of these multipurpose guns. I have one and it works just dandy.

With the optional bayonet, it slices and dices and can make julian fries in just seconds. It's available from Ronco for just $14.95. Plus $4.95 S+H.

Uhh excuse me?

Been carrying legally since 1990. Own quite a few handguns and carry a Glock 26 on a daily basis.

Been through numerous tactical shooting classes and want to take more of them.

What is YOUR shooting resume professor?

Regarding the used police trade in mags..sometimes that's correct and sometimes it isn't.

I bought some Norwegian G17 mags that were supposed to be used, but they worked perfectly. I've never had any trouble with them.

Granted, I bought them because they were unusual and only $16.00, but they lasted through a qualification class I shot with some local deputies, and had no bobbles whatsoever.

Great picture, for what it is worth I really like the Glock knives/Bayonets.

You get a great 6 inch bladed knife, that with scabbard only weighs 8 ounces.

Glocks are great weapons. Most of my friends have 'em. I prefer Sigs. Mine is a P226 in 9mm stainless.
