Please join me in prayer.

I will be posting things from time to time, and ask you to feel free to post prayer requests, meditations, prayers, as you feel moved.

Let love be genuine; hate what is evil, hold fast to what is good; love one another with brotherly affection; outdo one another in showing honor. Never flag in zeal, be aglow with the Spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in your hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.

Romans 12:9-12

For everything there is a season...

For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven:

2 a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

3 a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

4 a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

5 a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

6 a time to seek, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

7 a time to tear, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

8 a time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace.

9 What profit has he who works in that in which he labors?

10 I have seen the burden which God has given to the sons of men to be afflicted with.

11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in their hearts, yet so that man can't find out the work that God has done from the beginning even to the end.

12 I know that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice, and to do good as long as they live.

13 Also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy good in all his labor, is the gift of God.

14 I know that whatever God does, it shall be forever. Nothing can be added to it, nor anything taken from it; and God has done it, that men should fear before him.

15 That which is has been long ago, and that which is to be has been long ago: and God seeks again that which is passed away.

16 Moreover I saw under the sun, in the place of justice, that wickedness was there; and in the place of righteousness, that wickedness was there.

17 I said in my heart, "God will judge the righteous and the wicked; for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work."

18 I said in my heart, "As for the sons of men, God tests them, so that they may see that they themselves are like animals.

19 For that which happens to the sons of men happens to animals. Even one thing happens to them. As the one dies, so the other dies. Yes, they have all one breath; and man has no advantage over the animals: for all is vanity.

20 All go to one place. All are from the dust, and all turn to dust again.

21 Who knows the spirit of man, whether it goes upward, and the spirit of the animal, whether it goes downward to the earth?"

22 Therefore I saw that there is nothing better, than that a man should rejoice in his works; for that is his portion: for who can bring him to see what will be after him?

Be thou my vision, O Lord of my heart
Naught be all else to me save that thou art
Thou my best thought by day or by night
Waking or sleeping thy presence my light.

Be thou my wisdom, thou my true word
I ever with thee, thou with me, Lord
Thou my great Father, I thy true Son
Thou in me dwelling, and I with thee one.

Be thou my battleshield, sword for the fight
Be thou my dignity, thou my delight
Thou my soul's shelter, thou my high tower
Raise thou me heavenward, O power of my power.

Riches I heed not, nor man's empty praise
Thou mine inheritance, now and always
Thou and thou only, first in my heart
High King of heaven, my treasure thou art.

High King of heaven, after victory won
May I reach heaven's joys, O bright heaven's sun
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall
Still be my vision, O ruler of all.

Thank you so much for the Prayer Room!

Tuesday evening as we were all so glum, a FReeper was lamenting that so few around her seemed to be in agreement with many of the principles that we on FR hold so dear.

At that moment, all I could think to post in reply were a couple of verses of Psalm 91, with reference to the whole chapter. Now I'm going to put it all here. It's the "young lions" and "trampling on the adder" and the "1,000 may fall at your side" Psalm. I love it, especially for "terrors in the night."

~~~~
1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
6 nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
9 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the Most High, thy habitation;
10 there shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honor him.
16 With long life will I satisfy him, and show him my salvation.
Blessings to all of you in Jesus Christ.
Psa 55:16 But I call to God, and the LORD will save me.
Psa 55:17 I complain and groan morning, noon, and night, and He hears my voice.
Psa 55:18 Though many are against me, He will redeem me from my battle unharmed.
Psa 55:19 God, the One enthroned from long ago, will hear, and will humiliate them Selah because they do not change and do not fear God.
Oh Lord, mighty is your power to save. We have a great enemy who is bloodthirsty. Death is in the land, and innocent blood is shed. Great is our sin before you. Our hearts had hoped for righteousness and that Truth would be vindicated, but they howl about the gates still. We are grieved for the sin in this nation. Oh Lord deliver us and come quickly. Turn us and revive us again. Let this bloodguiltiness be put away from us.
Psa 55:22 Cast your burden on the LORD, and He will support you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.
The perfect sacrifice is given. The perfect Blood has been shed for our sins and we receive this sacrifice with gratitude and wonder and awe at so great a Love.
Rev 1:5 and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the first-born of the dead [ones] and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To the One loving us and having bathed us from our sins in His blood.
Rev 1:6 And He made us a kingdom, priests to His God and Father-to Him [be] the glory and the power into the ages of the ages [fig., forever and ever]! So be it!
Your Mercies are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness.
We fall before you. The Lord is in His holy temple. Let all the earth keep silence before Him.
He is raised up in his temple, raised up in His holy habitation. Let all be still in the presence of the Lord. Bow down.
2 Chronicles 7:14 ~ 14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
Blessed assurance, this Promise is ours.
Father, sweep across this great land with the fire of revival, that we might once again live the principles of Your Word, the underpinning of our founding. Our minds can grasp the enormity, and seemingly hopelessness, of our plight ... we have become so diluted and polluted and the enemy is so much stronger than we.
But thou are God ... there is NONE like unto thee. Cause us to remain faithful to the task of fervent prayer, trusting in Your Word. "FOREVER, O Lord, Your Word is firmly fixed in the Heavens." Psalm 119:89
20Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with You--they who frame and hide their unrighteous doings under [the sacred name of] law? 21They band themselves together against the life of the [consistently] righteous and condemn the innocent to death. 22But the Lord has become my High Tower and Defense, and my God the Rock of my refuge. 23And He will turn back upon them their own iniquity and will wipe them out by means of their own wickedness; the Lord our God will wipe them out. Psalm 94:20-23
Thank You, Great God of Justice, that the wicked will be put asunder. In Blessed Assurance, we watch and pray. Amen ...
The Lord has spoken regarding all our needs.......
Psa 94:17 If you had not helped me, LORD, I would soon have gone to the land of silence.
Psa 94:18 When I felt my feet slipping, you came with your love and kept me steady.
Psa 94:19 And when I was burdened with worries, you comforted me and made me feel secure.
Psa 94:20 But you are opposed to dishonest lawmakers
Psa 94:21 who gang up to murder innocent victims.
Psa 94:22 You, LORD God, are my fortress, that mighty rock where I am safe.
Praising the Lord tonight that I still have a roof over my head, food on my table, clothes on my back, oxygen in my lungs, and enough money in my pocket to buy some of the troop Christmas gifts I will be sending to Iraq.
Praying now that His mills that grind exceedingly fine speed it up! TIA
Holy Lord,
We are heartbroken and downtrodden because of the recent turn of events in the nation's political scene. We have seen opportunities for blessing and righteousness ignored and potential victories slip by as water through our hands. We failed to stand by the principles You gave us, Lord, and not only did we lose a major battle, we failed to advance in the war for the heart and soul of America. Forgive us, Lord, for our individual contributions to this failure. We acknowledge You as King and as the only true Source of help. We cannot figure this out for ourselves, Lord. It is beyond us. You, O God, are able to make sense out of this mess we have made. Draw us back, Father, to Your Word and Your teachings, for they are the foundation upon which we must stand. Be near us, Lord, and help us to stand strong in Your Name and in the Name of Jesus Christ, our Savior. Amen.
This Is Heaven
A man and his dog were walking along a road. The man was enjoying the scenery, when it suddenly occurred to him that he was dead. He remembered dying, and that the dog had been dead for years. He wondered where the road was leading them.
After a while, they came to a high, white stone wall along one side of the road. It looked like fine marble. At the top of a long hill, it was broken by a tall arch that glowed in the sunlight. When he was standing before it, he saw a magnificent gate in the arch that looked like mother of pearl, and the street that led to the gate looked like pure gold.
He and the dog walked toward the gate, and as he got closer, he saw a man at a desk to one side. When he was close enough, he called out, "Excuse me, where are we?"
"This is Heaven, sir," the man answered.
"Wow! Would you happen to have some water?" the man asked.
"Of course, sir. Come right in, and I'll have some ice water brought right up." The man gestured, and the gate began to open.
"Can my friend," gesturing toward his dog, "come in, too?" the traveler asked.
"I'm sorry, sir, but we don't accept pets."
The man thought a moment and then turned back toward the road and continued the way he had been going. After another long walk, and at the top of another long hill, he came to a dirt road which led through a farm gate that looked as if it had never been closed. There was no fence. As he approached the gate, he saw a man inside, leaning against a tree and reading a book.
"Excuse me!" he called to the reader. "Do you have any water?"
"Yeah, sure, there's a pump over there" The man pointed to a place that couldn't be seen from outside the gate. "Come on in."
"How about my friend here?" the traveler gestured to the dog.
"There should be a bowl by the pump."
They went through the gate, and sure enough, there was an old fashioned hand pump with a bowl beside it. The traveler filled the bowl and took a long drink himself, then he gave some to the dog.
When they were full, he and the dog walked back toward the man who was standing by the tree waiting for them.
"What do you call this place?" the traveler asked.
"This is Heaven," was the answer.
"Well, that's confusing," the traveler said. "The man down the road said that was Heaven, too."
"Oh, you mean the place with the gold street and pearly gates? Nope. That's Hell."
"Doesn't it make you mad for them to use your name like that?"
"No. I can see how you might think so, but we're just happy that they screen out the folks who'll leave their best friends behind."
I have a prayer request if you don't mind.
I had what I thought was a wonderful marriage. I stayed home, homeschooled the kids up until a year ago. The kids and I found out that my husband was and still is having an affair. Since we found out he began drinking heavily and evnetually in June of this year, moved out. He is coming over a few times each week to visit but no move back into the house and no talk of divorce.
Please pray for my family, for God to open my husband's heart and eyes and to remove him from the bondage he is under.
Thank you so much.
These locales have taken a stand against illegal immigration:
Farmer's Branch, Texas
Gaston County, North Carolina
Hazleton, Pennsylvania
I pray the Lord will embolden more local leaders around the nation to take a stand against this invasion. I pray that the Lord will prevent any attempt by activist judges and organizations to quash the fledgling efforts of these brave souls. In the triumphant name of Jesus Christ.
I love your homepage.
Yes, I would appreciate some prayer, thank you.
My father and sister are cancer survivors, I would like prayer for continued good health for them. Also, I have been having fertility issues for quite some time and have had two miscarriages. I ask for prayer that the Lord would grant me some healthy pregnancies.
Thanks so much for the prayer!!!
Deep in the night, a prayer of hope...
This be our prayer oh God, that Your Will be done.
Whether we live or die, we belong to You -
As You feed all that live, so feed our souls with Your Love
that we may see Your face, and know You are God.
In Jesus name we pray it...
