Psa 134:1 Come, praise the LORD, all his servants, all who serve in his Temple at night.
Psa 134:2 Raise your hands in prayer in the Temple, and praise the LORD!
Psa 134:3 May the LORD, who made heaven and earth, bless you from Zion!

Lord we thank you for your lovong kindness today. I ask your watchful care over your people tonight. Speak to our spirits even as we sleep.

Psa 42:8 By day the LORD commands his steadfast love, and at night his song is with me, a prayer to the God of my life.

We rest in you. Give us joy in the morning when we come together with your people to praise your Name. Please heal our land.

In the name of our Blessed Saviour.
amen

Abide with me; fast falls the eventide;
The darkness deepens; Lord with me abide.
When other helpers fail and comforts flee,
Help of the helpless, O abide with me.

Swift to its close ebbs out life’s little day;
Earth’s joys grow dim; its glories pass away;
Change and decay in all around I see;
O Thou who changest not, abide with me.

Not a brief glance I beg, a passing word;
But as Thou dwell’st with Thy disciples, Lord,
Familiar, condescending, patient, free.
Come not to sojourn, but abide with me.

Come not in terrors, as the King of kings,
But kind and good, with healing in Thy wings,
Tears for all woes, a heart for every plea—
Come, Friend of sinners, and thus bide with me.

Thou on my head in early youth didst smile;
And, though rebellious and perverse meanwhile,
Thou hast not left me, oft as I left Thee,
On to the close, O Lord, abide with me.

I need Thy presence every passing hour.
What but Thy grace can foil the tempter’s power?
Who, like Thyself, my guide and stay can be?
Through cloud and sunshine, Lord, abide with me.

I fear no foe, with Thee at hand to bless;
Ills have no weight, and tears no bitterness.
Where is death’s sting? Where, grave, thy victory?
I triumph still, if Thou abide with me.

Hold Thou Thy cross before my closing eyes;
Shine through the gloom and point me to the skies.
Heaven’s morning breaks, and earth’s vain shadows flee;
In life, in death, O Lord, abide with me.

Our Lord Bless His Dear Children with Manifold and Gracious Blessings! I Want to Share a Poem that has Uplifted and Strengthened me Many Times, by our Dear Brother, William Cowper, Praying that it will Bless your Hearts:

"God Moves in a Mysterious Way"

God moves in a mysterious way
His wonders to perform;
He plants His footsteps in the sea
And rides upon the storm.

Deep in unfathomable mines
Of never failing skill
He treasures up His bright designs
And works His sovereign will.

Ye fearful saints, fresh courage take;
The clouds ye so much dread
Are big with mercy and shall break
In blessings on your head.

Judge not the Lord by feeble sense,
But trust Him for His grace;
Behind a frowning providence
He hides a smiling face.

His purposes will ripen fast,
Unfolding every hour;
The bud may have a bitter taste,
But sweet will be the flower.

Blind unbelief is sure to err
And scan His work in vain;
God is His own interpreter,
And He will make it plain.

WILLIAM COWPER

Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from Him cometh my Salvation. (Ps.62:1)

Morning Prayer
This is the day the Lord has made -
Let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24

O Lord,
thank you for the gift of another morning.
teach us to see that
each dawn is a time to celebrate,
each evening to reflect,
each moment to cherish -
So often we forget how precious these moments are -
how brief is life,
how long is eternity -
and so much work to do in your name.

O Lord,
thank you for the gift of another morning -
another chance to be your hands on earth,
another chance to say the words I always meant to say,
smile the smile that lightens the load
of a frazzled friend,
a chance to actually help that poor one,
to give up something
to help another,
to let you know Lord how grateful I am
that you would care,
reach out and lead me home.

O Lord,
thank you for the gift of another morning -
help me Lord, to use it as you want me to.
In your hands, I commend my self this day,
and no matter if the day is sad,
or hard,
or unnerving,
or joyful,
or peaceful,
or exciting,
let me find you always,
holding my hand and leading me closer to you.

Amen.

Dear FRiends,

Please join me in some serious prayer today and for the next several days for our nation and for the situation in the Middle East, which is once again getting extremely close to a flashpoint, especially in Lebanon, and for all our people, miltary and contractor, abroad right now during this time.

God bless you.

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High,
who abides in the shadow of the Almighty,
will say to the LORD, "My refuge and my fortress;
my God, in whom I trust."
For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler
and from the deadly pestilence;
he will cover you with his pinions,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.
You will not fear the terror of the night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
nor the destruction that wastes at noonday.
A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand;
but it will not come near you.
You will only look with your eyes
and see the recompense of the wicked.
Because you have made the LORD your refuge,
the Most High your habitation,
no evil shall befall you,
no scourge come near your tent.
For he will give his angels charge of you
to guard you in all your ways.
On their hands they will bear you up,
lest you dash your foot against a stone.
You will tread on the lion and the adder,
the young lion and the serpent
you will trample under foot.
"Because he cleaves to me in love,
I will deliver him;
I will protect him, because he knows my name.
When he calls to me, I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will rescue him and honor him.
With long life I will satisfy him,
and show him my salvation."

Psalm 91

But I call upon God; and the LORD will save me.
Evening and morning and at noon
I utter my complaint and moan,
and he will hear my voice.

He will deliver my soul in safety
from the battle that I wage,
for many are arrayed against me.
God will give ear, and humble them,
he who is enthroned from of old;
because they keep no law, and do not fear God.

My companion stretched out his hand against his friends,
he violated his covenant.
His speech was smoother than butter,
yet war was in his heart;
his words were softer than oil,
yet they were drawn swords.

Cast your burden on the LORD,
and he will sustain you;
he will never permit the righteous to be moved.
But thou, O God,
wilt cast them down into the lowest pit;
men of blood and treachery shall not live out half their days.

But I will trust in thee.

Psalm 55:16-23

God, the Hope of those who pray,
God, our Help where here we stay,
Life of those who pass away:
We beseech Thee, hear us.

Hear us for the men who fight
For our honor and the right,
Shield them with Thy glorious might:
We beseech Thee, hear us.

Father, Thou Who lovest all,
Help them when on Thee they call,
Ever keep them lest they fall:
We beseech Thee, hear us.

Christ, Who died to right the wrong,
Make our brothers brave and strong,
Though the war be fierce and long:
Hear us, holy Jesus.

By Thy cross, O Christ, draw near
Those who die, that they may hear
Thine own voice, and have no fear:
Hear us, holy Jesus.

Holy Spirit, come, we pray,
Guide our country day by day
In the high and holy way:
Hear us, Holy Spirit.

Make us all a worthier race,
Formed and strengthened by Thy grace,
Make this world a holier place:
Hear us, Holy Spirit.

You gave me a dream one day, O Lord,
of midnight on a storming sea,
Hurricane winds blowing free,
washing up on an unprepared shore.

I watched as the waters swirled and rose,
huge swells washing all away
there in the darkness far from day,
The works of hands shattered in the water flows.

I watched how puny are the works we prize
The works of hands and sweat and dreams
Falling there beneath the streams
Nothing of man stopped the water's rise.

And yet, there on the water's face
Bobbing lightly as the waves moved on,
Survivors surfacing towards the dawn
Rafts and boats and planks and boards in place.

Even though wind tossed, and frightened there
even though battered in the night
they escaped into the light,
By the hand of loving care.

"My mercy," said the Lord to me
"I gave them refuge in my heart,
As the darkness took their world apart
Because they put their trust in me.
.
"Take care to understand and know
When darkness seems too dark to see
That I will hold you close to me
In darkest night, when storm winds blow

"If you will give your heart to me
To keep within my heart of love
You will always float above
The darkness of that midnight sea.

"Cling to my mercy now, this day,
The storm clouds gather, the darkness grows,
The seas are rising, the dark wind blows,
Come into my heart or wash away."

Lord,
forgive us,
a wayward and sin-stained mankind,
for the sin of letting angry people
rise among us,
setting them free
to kill the innocent
for love or lust,
for greed,
for self-righteousness,
for power,
for the sake of politcal stance,
for honor,
out of impatience and frustration,
expedience,
sometimes, even, in your name.

O Lord,
how the blood of Abel calls out,
joined by so many others,
such a loud cacaphony of human darkness.

Today, O Lord,
I offer up my remorse to you,
my tears,
for each life snuffed short,
each family twisted,
each mournful keening
echoing through the millenia,
the sackcloth and ashes of my lone heart
in repentance and sorrow at what we have wrought.

O Lord,
on this dark day,
I pray for your voice to touch each and every heart,
and show us what we do in truth,
help us to recoil from the blacknes we have wrought,
help us to repudiate the darkness
help us to choose your light.

1: Answer me when I call, O God of my right! Thou hast given me room when I was in distress. Be gracious to me, and hear my prayer.

2: O men, how long shall my honor suffer shame? How long will you love vain words, and seek after lies? [Selah]

3: But know that the LORD has set apart the godly for himself; the LORD hears when I call to him.

4: Be angry, but sin not; commune with your own hearts on your beds, and be silent. [Selah]

5: Offer right sacrifices, and put your trust in the LORD.

6: There are many who say, "O that we might see some good! Lift up the light of thy countenance upon us, O LORD!"

7: Thou hast put more joy in my heart than they have when their grain and wine abound.

8: In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for thou alone, O LORD, makest me dwell in safety.

Psalm 4

Let freemen’s hearts grow bolder;
Let freedom’s banner fly
Where God’s four winds unfold her
To God’s uncharted sky.
His Word and not another’s
Is pledged to liberty;
His hand hath made men brothers,
His truth shall make men free.

Where freedom’s flag is flying
In lands across the sea
On Thee we are relying,
Great God, we count on Thee!
For right is right forever,
Though men have crowned the wrong,
And truth shall perish never—
Great God, how long? how long?

When our brave lads are dying
In lands across the sea,
On Thee we are relying,
Great God, they die for Thee!
And if we lay them sleeping
In lands beyond the sea,
God, have them in Thy keeping—
We leave them there with Thee.

Psa 5:3 Each morning you listen to my prayer, as I bring my requests to you and wait for your reply.

Thank you for this new day. Please help all your people who are in trouble or oppressed or in pain, or in any need.

Weeping may endure the night but Joy surely does come in the morning.

Psa 46:4 There is a river--its streams delight the city of God, the holy dwelling place of the Most High.
Psa 46:5 God is within her; she will not be toppled. God will help her when the morning dawns.
Psa 46:6 Nations rage, kingdoms topple; the earth melts when He lifts His voice.
Psa 46:7 The LORD of Hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our stronghold. Selah

Lord we aren't confused to think that you approve of this nation with all the sin within her borders, but Lord we know you love your people here. Please help us defeat the enemy of your Word and let your Love take captive this nation and bring Salvation and healing.

Joh 9:4 As long as it is day, we must do what the one who sent me wants me to do. When night comes, no one can work.

Expose works of darkness and let your light and love enter. We depend completely on your power and your Spirit and your Word. Help us to stand ready, and go when we should go and work when we should work and speak when we should speak, and pray and praise and stand.
In Jesus' mighty Name, that's above all names......

A midday prayer bump

Lord, watch over us, and guide us, for the way seems dark and frightening, and grief seems to be the result of so many ways we can turn.

Amen.

Thou,
like a breath of wind, unseen but not unfelt,
whose presence breathes across the waters of my heart,
Breathing life into each breath I take,
surrounding me in my every move,
sharing in my every joy,
feeling the anguish of my every pain,
Thou.
O Lord, Giver of life,
Comforter, Quickener, Spirit, Breath,
Direct my feet in the way they should go,
Fill my heart with that love I should have,
Teach me that trust that will let me always walk in the light,
Even through the grief,
Even through the pain
Even through the loss that comes merely with living.
And let me rest in the knowledge that you are here with me,
day by day,
giving me the words when I know not what to say,
giving me the hope to walk another step,
giving me the joy that comes unbidden
from the fountains of Heaven.
Thou,
O Lord,
O Spirit,
O God,
Glory to you!
