Amen to the beautiful prayers. May God bless those requesting special prayers.
Dear Carb,
It's the face of Jesus that we see in our spirits in this prayer,
Joh 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
doing through the Church what He is always doing,
Heb 7:25 Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.
Thanks so much for the encouragement.

Dear Polly,
I will be praying for you. Stay in touch as always.
bp
Psa 143:8 Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love, for in you I trust. Make me know the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.
Oh Father in Heaven, Thank you for this new day. I ask that you help me use it according to your will. Help me walk today in your presence, and remember your love for us all.
Psa 90:14 Satisfy us in the morning with your steadfast love, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
Help me to be faithful in what I have promised, so that I will not dishonor your Name. Even before I ask, you have already given me all I need to obey and be faithful.
2Pe 1:3 We have everything we need to live a life that pleases God. It was all given to us by God's own power, when we learned that he had invited us to share in his wonderful goodness.
I ask for help for the needy, comfort for the afflicted, healing for the sick and mercy for those in weakness. I know that you will supply all we need.
Phi 4:19 And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
Phi 4:20 To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.
My Jesus, I Love Thee
Text: William R. Featherstone
Music: Adoniram J. Gordon
1. My Jesus, I love thee, I know thou art mine;
for thee all the follies of sin I resign.
My gracious Redeemer, my Savior art thou;
if ever I loved thee, my Jesus, 'tis now.
2. I love thee because thou hast first loved me,
and purchased my pardon on Calvary's tree;
I love thee for wearing the thorns on thy brow;
if ever I loved thee, my Jesus, 'tis now.
3. In mansions of glory and endless delight;
I'll ever adore thee in heaven so bright;
I'll sing with the glittering crown on my brow;
if ever I loved thee, my Jesus, 'tis now.

First, I would like to request that all believing Freeper's be in prayer for a fellow church member of mine. Her 18 mo old son passed away last night after choking on some food. "Jay J", as we all called him, passed away at First Health of the Carolinas last night. Misty, his mom, is a believer and our Pastor, who was with the family last night at the hospital, tearfully testified to us this morning that as Jay J took his last breaths, she held him while singing & praising God for His goodness. She is a woman of great faith but she is also human and will need all of the comfort she can get. Misty and her husband (he's not saved) will be needing Jesus' peace more than anything at this time.
Second, my son's good friend, Adam, was critucally injured in a car accident earlier this week. Someone ran a stop sign and he hit them totalling his truck. His story can be found here along with pics of the wreck. The details are a little off in the newspaper with regards to the hospital.

He was airlifted to and is fighting for his life at UNC Chapel Hill Hospital. He broke both arms, his neck, his wrists, his femurs (both), his jaw, his ribs, and he has head trauma. CAT scans and MRIs indicate he has brain damage although the extent of it is not known. He has not been responsive and is in a coma according to the last update on his condition. Please pray for him. Adam and his girlfriend, Crystal, were to be married in February and she is having a hard time coping with this. Please remember her in your prayers as well as his mother and father.
I appreciate all of you who take the time to pray for others.

Let's all keep President and Mrs. Bush in our prayers as they are in dangerous territory over in Asia. I worry greatly about their safety there.
Knitting, you have a knack for finding great Psalms for particular purposes... got one on hand?
Thanks. :-)
Isa 12:3 With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.
Isa 12:4 And you will say in that day: "Give thanks to the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the peoples, proclaim that his name is exalted.
Oh Lord, in quiet humility we present you with so many desperate petitions. We have little control in our lives, but you hold the world together by the power of your Word.
Heb 1:3 He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power.....
Col 1:17 And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
Please hold together these lives, and these broken bodies. Deliver us from the evil one, for yours is the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory forever, Amen.
Comfort the hearts of the families. Give them hope.
Trust in God
(Bohemian Brethren)
The night is come, wherein at last we rest,
God order this and all things for the best!
Beneath His blessing fearless we may lie
Since He is nigh.
Drive evil thoughts and spirits far away,
Master, watch o'er us till the dawning day,
Body and soul alike from harm defend,
Thine angel send.
Let holy prayers and thoughts our latest be,
Let us awake with joy, still close to Thee,
In all serve Thee, in every deed and thought
Thy praise be sought.
Give to the sick as Thy beloved sleep,
And help the captive, comfort those who weep,
Care for the widows' and the orphans' woe,
Keep far our foe.
For we have none on whom for help to call,
Save Thee, O God in heaven, who car'st for all,
And wilt forsake them never, day or night,
Who love Thee right.
Father, Thy Name be praised, Thy Kingdom come,
Thy will be wrought as in our heavenly home,
Keep us in life, forgive our sins, deliver
Us now and ever! Amen.
Sing for joy, O heavens! Rejoice, O earth! Burst into song, O mountains! For the Lord has comforted His people and will have compassion on them in their suffering.
Yet they say, The Lord has deserted us; the Lord has forgotten us.
Never! Can a mother forget her nursing child? Can she feel no love for the child she has borne? But even if that were possible, I would not forget you! See, I have written your name on the Palms of My Hands. (Is.49:13-16)
I,even I, am the one who comforts you and gives you all this joy. (Is.51:12)
All honor and glory to God forever and ever! He is the Eternal King, the Unseen One who never dies; He Alone is God. Amen. (1Tim.1:17) (NLB)
