Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.
Psalm 127:1>
At this time, when feelings run high, the world seems crazy, and anger seems to be the one thing the peoples of the world have in common, I invite you, my fellow FReepers, to join me in prayers and meditation for guidance, God's help and for our fellow man, for America, our troops, and all our own needs.
Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
That calls me from a world of care,
And bids me at my Fathers throne
Make all my wants and wishes known.
In seasons of distress and grief,
My soul has often found relief
And oft escaped the tempters snare
By thy return, sweet hour of prayer!
William Bradbury
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear though the earth should change,
though the mountains shake in the heart of the sea;
though its waters roar and foam,
though the mountains tremble with its tumult.
Psalm 46: 1-3

Thanks for the bump. Here are some highlights from the article I posted:
Nonetheless, intercession can nullify those spiritual plans of the enemy both for Israel and our nation. In recent weeks, the Lord has given specific permission to call upon Heaven for the release and activation of the mighty warring angels, including the distinguished archangel Michael.
In the book of Daniel we see special significance on the role of Michael and the implementation of Heavenly plans here on the earth. Our vision and concentration is placed solely upon the Lord and His Holy Spirit. Nevertheless, God has chosen the agency of man to release the resources of Heaven and hosts of ministering spirits to engage the adversary. That provides a source of great comfort knowing there are more for us than for our enemies.
So he answered, Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them. Then Elisha prayed and said, O LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see. And the LORD opened the servants eyes, and he saw; and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. (2 Kings 6:16-17)
Great and notable end-time purposes are presently being birthed and the enemy is doing all that he can to abort the destiny of this generation. Thankfully, the Lord has made an abundant provision of grace to establish us as overcomers if we will co-operate with the Holy Spirit and yield our will to the will of the Father.

Joya,
You must know from what I wrote that I don’t believe this is Biblical.
When Daniel prayed, the angel came to him to inform him of God’s plan for Israel, which Daniel knew from having read the Word of God to Jeremiah regarding the restoration of Jerusalem after the elapsed period of time....
Jesus did not instruct the disciples,(us) in such concepts.
We are to appeal to the Father in the Name of Jesus for what we need and desire. When that is the same as His stated will, we know he hears us and we have what we ask.
I have not seen in the Word of God, prayer practices that were described in the article.
I say these things not out of ignorance, or a desire to be contentious, for I am very familiar with this, and also those associated with The Call, and many more prayer efforts throughout the last 25 years, put forward by many of the same people, who no doubt yearn for nothing more than to see the church repent and the Name of the LORD to be exalted, however there have been no such turnings and I see a Church that looks more like it is headed for the great Apostasy than an awakening.
That is likely because of the distraction factor from extra-Biblical concepts in worship and prayer and meditation practices which have, over the years, diverted our attention from the great need for potent, undiluted Bible preaching, straight-forward teaching, and obedience, an emphasis which, if intense enough, could possibly deter a further slide in Biblical literacy and faithfulness.
During Israel’s greatest revivals, the priests were sent through out the land to teach the word of God, or else, at another time, assembled Israel heard the Word of God and repented.
There is no model in the New Testament, to my knowledge, of the concepts I have exerpted from your exerpts.
Why does this matter? and why don’t I just leave it alone?
Because it is wrong and it is confusion and it is not about Jesus, but the enemy.
That is not to be our occupation or focus.
I had hoped in my posts above that I conveyed the correct theology, but if not, then I pray, sincerely, that you may have a clear understanding of what the Bible ALONE is saying without the Addition of concepts that are not Biblical.
Since I am sure that all would agree this is not the use for which we have set aside the Prayer Room, we can take it private for more discussion, if you want.
Thanks.
Psa 91:1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
Psa 91:2 I will say to the LORD, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”
Psa 91:3 For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence.
Psa 91:4 He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.
Psa 91:5 You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day,
Psa 91:6 nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor the destruction that wastes at noonday.
Psa 91:7 A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.
Psa 91:8 You will only look with your eyes and see the recompense of the wicked.
Psa 91:9 Because you have made the LORD your dwelling place— the Most High, who is my refuge—
Psa 91:10 no evil shall be allowed to befall you, no plague come near your tent.
Psa 91:11 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.
Psa 91:12 On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone.
Psa 91:13 You will tread on the lion and the adder; the young lion and the serpent you will trample underfoot.
Psa 91:14 “Because he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him; I will protect him, because he knows my name.
Psa 91:15 When he calls to me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him.
Psa 91:16 With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”

To Thee before the close of day,
Creator of the world, we pray
That, with Thy wonted favor, Thou
Wouldst be our Guard and Keeper now.
From all ill dreams defend our sight,
From fears and terrors of the night;
Withhold from us our ghostly foe,
That spot of sin we may not know.
O Father, that we ask be done,
Through Jesus Christ, Thine only Son,
Who, with the Holy Ghost and Thee,
Doth live and reign eternally.

An afterthought.
I did not post Psalm 91 because of any supposed “use” against evil, which, too late, I saw referenced in the writing on the “prophecy” issue, but rather, because in it we see that it is the LORD who is in command.
Let us abide.
A Mighty Fortress is our God {Lyrics and Composer: Martin Luther, 1529}
A mighty fortress is our God, a bulwark never failing;
Our helper He, amid the flood of mortal ills prevailing:
For still our ancient foe doth seek to work us woe;
His craft and power are great, and, armed with cruel hate,
On earth is not his equal.
Did we in our own strength confide, our striving would be losing;
Were not the right Man on our side, the Man of Gods own choosing:
Dost ask who that may be? Christ Jesus, it is He;
Lord Sabaoth, His Name, from age to age the same,
And He must win the battle.
And though this world, with devils filled, should threaten to undo us,
We will not fear, for God hath willed His truth to triumph through us:
The Prince of Darkness grim, we tremble not for him;
His rage we can endure, for lo, his doom is sure,
One little word shall fell him.
That word above all earthly powers, no thanks to them, abideth;
The Spirit and the gifts are ours through Him Who with us sideth:
Let goods and kindred go, this mortal life also;
The body they may kill: Gods truth abideth still,
His kingdom is forever.
Now unto the King Eternal, Immortal, Invisible, the Only Wise God,
Be Honour and Glory Forever and Ever, amen! (1Tim.1:17)

Christ, whose glory fills the skies,
Christ, the true, the only Light,
Sun of Righteousness, arise,
Triumph oer the shades of night;
Dayspring from on high, be near;
Day-star, in my heart appear.
Dark and cheerless is the morn
Unaccompanied by Thee;
Joyless is the days return
Till Thy mercys beams I see;
Till they inward light impart,
Glad my eyes, and warm my heart.
Visit then this soul of mine,
Pierce the gloom of sin and grief;
Fill me, Radiancy divine,
Scatter all my unbelief;
More and more Thyself display,
Shining to the perfect day.

2Pe 1:16 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
2Pe 1:17 For he received from God the Father honor and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
2Pe 1:18 And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.
2Pe 1:19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
LORD of Heaven, be glorified in all we do today.
Help us to be self-forgetful and mindful of your Holiness and Love for us.
We ask for daily bread, for spirit and body, and help and healing for those in trouble and sickness.
We have seen that you comfort and support and sustain us through all the ways that you lead us.
Give us understanding of the Truth in your Word today.
I ask this in the Incomparable, Incorruptible, Majestic and Powerful Name of Jesus, Son of God, Lamb of Glory.
Amen.

O Savior, Lord, to Thee we pray,
Whose love has kept us safe today,
Protect us through the coming night,
And ever save us by Thy might.
Be with us now, in mercy nigh,
And spare Thy servants when they cry;
Our sins blot out, our prayers receive,
Thy light throughout our darkness give.
Let not dull sleep the soul oppress,
Nor secret foe the heart possess;
Our flesh keep chaste, that it may be
A holy temple meet for Thee.
To Thee, who dost our hearts renew,
With fervent prayer we humbly sue,
That pure in thought and free from stain,
We from our beds may rise again.
All praise to God the Father be,
All praise, eternal Son, to Thee,
Whom with the Spirit we adore
Forever and forevermore.

We prayed to our God and set a guard as a protection against them.
Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith.
Why do you call me Lord, Lord, and not do what I tell you?But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
Why do you cry to me? Tell the people of Israel to go forward.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Dyma gariad fel y moroedd (Favorite Welsh Hymn of 1904 Worldwide Revival)
Here is love, vast as the ocean,
Lovingkindness as the flood,
When the Prince of Life, our Ransom,
Shed for us His precious blood.
Who His love will not remember?
Who can cease to sing His praise?
He can never be forgotten,
Throughout Heavns eternal days.
On the mount of crucifixion,
Fountains opened deep and wide;
Through the floodgates of Gods mercy
Flowed a vast and gracious tide.
Grace and love, like mighty rivers,
Poured incessant from above,
And Heavns peace and perfect justice
Kissed a guilty world in love.
Let me all Thy love accepting,
Love Thee, ever all my days;
Let me seek Thy kingdom only
And my life be to Thy praise;
Thou alone shalt be my glory,
Nothing in the world I see.
Thou hast cleansed and sanctified me,
Thou Thyself hast set me free.
In Thy truth Thou dost direct me
By Thy Spirit through Thy Word;
And Thy grace my need is meeting,
As I trust in Thee, my Lord.
Of Thy fullness Thou art pouring
Thy great love and power on me,
Without measure, full and boundless,
Drawing out my heart to Thee.

Morning
You are a gracious God and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, and relenting from disaster.
Please let the power of the Lord be great as you have promised, saying, The Lord is slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, forgiving iniquity and transgression, but he will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, to the third and the fourth generation.
Do not remember against us our former iniquities; let your compassion come speedily to meet us. . . . Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of your name; deliver us, and atone for our sins, for your name’s sake!Though our iniquities testify against us, act, O Lord, for your name’s sake; for our backslidings are many; we have sinned against you. . . . We acknowledge our wickedness, O Lord, and the iniquity of our fathers, for we have sinned against you.
If you, O Lord, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? But with you there is forgiveness, that you may be feared.
Jonah 4:2; Num. 14:17, 18; Ps. 79:8, 9; Jer. 14:7, 20; Ps. 130:3, 4
OH LORD we need your mercy as never before.
As a nation we should cry to you
Psa 43:3 O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.
Psa 43:4 Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God.
Psa 43:5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.
Deliver us from evil Oh LORD.

False prophecy by false prophets.
All Things Bright and Beautiful Lyrics: Cecil Alexander, 1848. Music: English melody.
All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful:
The Lord God made them all.
Each little flower that opens,
Each little bird that sings,
He made their glowing colors,
He made their tiny wings.
All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful:
The Lord God made them all.
The cold wind in the winter,
The pleasant summer sun,
The ripe fruits in the garden,
He made them every one.
All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful:
The Lord God made them all.
All Creation Shouts Your Praise, our Mighty God; You've Made a World of Wonders! (Ps.98:1) Loving Lord, the Earth is Filled with Your Glory. How Great, how Kind You are, our God, and how we Love to Praise Your Name. Sometimes it is So Wearying to be Separated from You, our Abba. Oh, that Thy Kingdom would Come, and our Christ would Ascend His Jerusalem-Throne. My Lord Jesus, with All my Heart I Beg You; Please Come Back!
In Thy Name we Ask Healing for the Hurting, Gracious King. Lift Up those who are Cast Down, Caring Lord. Please Grant Salvation to All who Come to this Thread. Be Pleased to Pour Forth a River, a Tidal-Wave, an Ocean of Mercies!
We Worship You, we Praise You, and Honor You with All our Hearts. We Love You, Dear Father our King, and Pray in our Jesus' Name, amen.
Amen to your post, Kitty Mittens.
It was a Blessing to me.

Here, O my Lord, I see Thee face to face;
Here would I touch and handle things unseen;
Here grasp with firmer hand eternal grace,
And all my weariness upon Thee lean.
This is the hour of banquet and of song;
This is the heavenly table spread for me;
Here let me feast, and feasting, still prolong
The hallowed hour of fellowship with Thee.
Here would I feed upon the bread of God,
Here drink with Thee the royal wine of Heaven;
Here would I lay aside each earthly load,
Here taste afresh the calm of sin forgiven.
I have no help but Thine; nor do I need
Another arm save Thine to lean upon;
It is enough, my Lord, enough indeed;
My strength is in Thy might, Thy might alone.
I have no wisdom save in Him Who is
My Wisdom and my Teacher both in One;
No wisdom can I lack while Thou art wise;
No teaching do I crave save Thine alone.
Mine is the sin, but Thine the righteousness:
Mine is the guilt, but Thine the cleansing blood;
Here is my robe, my refuge, and my peace;
Thy Blood, Thy righteousness, O Lord my God!
Too soon we rise; the symbols disappear;
The feast, though not the love, is past and gone.
The bread and wine remove; but Thou art here,
Nearer than ever, still my Shield and Sun.
Feast after feast thus comes and passes by;
Yet, passing, points to the glad feast above,
Giving sweet foretaste of the festal joy,
The Lambs great bridal feast of bliss and love.

WHAT ABOUT YOU?
by
Horatius Bonar
“I am not satisfied with my faith,” says one. No, of course you aren’t; nor will you ever be; at least I hope not! The Bible does not say, “Therefore being satisfied with our faith we have peace with God;” it says, “being justified by faith, we have peace with God.”
“I am not satisfied with my repentance.” That is wonderful! What would you do with your repentance if you were satisfied with it? Would you find peace in repentance? Would you bring it to God instead of the blood? Oh, what pride and self-righteousness must be in any person who is satisfied with his repentance and faith! That person could never find true peace, for such a refuge of lies must fall.
“I am not satisfied with my love.” What? Did you expect, on this earth, to be satisfied with any grace found in you? Was it your love for Christ or His love for you that gave you peace at first?
Now then, there is but one thing with which Almighty God is satisfied entirely satisfied and that is the Person and work of His Son. It is with Christ that we must be satisfied, not with ourselves, nor anything about us! When we cease from ALL our labors, and ALL our righteousness, and ENTER INTO HIS REST, pardon and peace will come without delay.

Come, my soul, thou must be waking;
now is breaking over the earth another day;
come to him who made this splendor;
see thou render all thy feeble powers can pay.
Thou, too, hail the light returning
ready burning be the incense of thy powers;
for the night is safely ended,
God hath tended with his care thy helpless hours.
Pray that he may prosper ever
each endeavor when thine aim is good and true;
but that he may ever thwart thee,
and convert thee, when thou evil wouldst pursue.
Think that he thy ways beholdeth;
he unfoldeth every fault that lurks within;
he the hidden shame glossed over
can discover, and discern each deed of sin.
Mayest thou on life’s last morrow,
free from sorrow, pass away in slumber sweet:
and, released from death’s dark sadness,
rise in gladness that far brighter Sun to greet.
Only God’s free gifts abuse not,
light refuse not, but his Spirit’s voice obey;
thou with him shalt dwell, beholding
light enfolding all things in unclouded day.

He who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is his name.
Who is like you, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like you, majestic in holiness, awesome in glorious deeds, doing wonders?There is none like you among the gods, O Lord, nor are there any works like yours.Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify your name? For you alone are holy.Hallowed be your name.
Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, for he has visited and redeemed his people.
Who is this who comes from Edom, in crimsoned garments from Bozrah, he who is splendid in his apparel, marching in the greatness of his strength? It is I, speaking in righteousness, mighty to save.I have granted help to one who is mighty; I have exalted one chosen from the people.
Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory.

O LORD, I want you to take your place in my heart and soul and life as King and LORD.
You are High and lifted up above the earth and your praise must fill this temple of my body.
Be glorified in our lives today I ask and let it be seen that we are your people and the sheep of your pasture.

Guide me, O Thou great Jehovah,
Pilgrim through this barren land.
I am weak, but Thou art mighty;
Hold me with Thy powerful hand.
Bread of Heaven, Bread of Heaven,
Feed me till I want no more;
Feed me till I want no more.
Open now the crystal fountain,
Whence the healing stream doth flow;
Let the fire and cloudy pillar
Lead me all my journey through.
Strong Deliverer, strong Deliverer,
Be Thou still my Strength and Shield;
Be Thou still my Strength and Shield.
Lord, I trust Thy mighty power,
Wondrous are Thy works of old;
Thou deliverst Thine from thralldom,
Who for naught themselves had sold:
Thou didst conquer, Thou didst conquer,
Sin, and Satan and the grave,
Sin, and Satan and the grave.
When I tread the verge of Jordan,
Bid my anxious fears subside;
Death of deaths, and hells destruction,
Land me safe on Canaans side.
Songs of praises, songs of praises,
I will ever give to Thee;
I will ever give to Thee.
Musing on my habitation,
Musing on my heavnly home,
Fills my soul with holy longings:
Come, my Jesus, quickly come;
Vanity is all I see;
Lord, I long to be with Thee!
Lord, I long to be with Thee!
