Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.
Psalm 127:1>
At this time, when feelings run high, the world seems crazy, and anger seems to be the one thing the peoples of the world have in common, I invite you, my fellow FReepers, to join me in prayers and meditation for guidance, God's help and for our fellow man, for America, our troops, and all our own needs.
Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
That calls me from a world of care,
And bids me at my Fathers throne
Make all my wants and wishes known.
In seasons of distress and grief,
My soul has often found relief
And oft escaped the tempters snare
By thy return, sweet hour of prayer!
William Bradbury
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear though the earth should change,
though the mountains shake in the heart of the sea;
though its waters roar and foam,
though the mountains tremble with its tumult.
Psalm 46: 1-3
Thank you! I need this one all the time.
Please pray for this child, Gabby:

I love that post, the song lyrics, and your prayers with praise. Thank you.
Lam 2:19 "Arise, cry out in the night, at the beginning of the night watches! Pour out your heart like water before the presence of the Lord! Lift your hands to him for the lives of your children, who faint for hunger at the head of every street."
Amo 8:11 "Behold, the days are coming," declares the Lord GOD, "when I will send a famine on the land-- not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD.
O listen if you will, to the cries in the night,
Of a world gone mad with shouts of "me" and "mine,"
Death followed by the call of "Only my way is right!"
"You insult me with your existance!" echoing down the line.
Does it press against your heart, this dark futility,
Of blood shed in laughter at the pain of another,
Of evil done in self-righteously certain anger,
The pageant of Cain forever slaying his brother?
When prophecies of hate justify the pain,
Or when self becomes the arbitor of all that has worth,
Blood is shed in explosions piercing the night,
Blood is shed of children who with never know birth.
Blood is shed as we reenact over and over
The hand of Cain reaching out against his brother.
Each new act of hate breeding new pain,
Each grief giving birth to more hate for each other.
Is there a hope that turns nightmare to daylight?
Is there an end ot the drought, for hope's rain?
How can one break the chains that shackle and fetter
This poor world to hate and anger and pain?
Listen! The Word came to give you the answer,
He suffered and died just to give you the way.
Listen! Can you follow the way that he showed you,
Can you follow his steps that turn night into day?
Love mercy, do justice, walk humbly with God,
Don't hide your light behind a closed door
Love the Lord with all the strength in your body,
Know God looks at you through the eyes of the poor.
The road that he asks you to walk is not easy,
It calls for true willingness to be vessels of light,
But through your two hands and two eyes and two feet,
He will make you the lantern that pierces the night.
To love mercy, do justice, walk humby with God
Sounds just so trite when the world has gone bad.
But God brings some light with a small cup of water,
God heals with touches that others think mad.
His is the strength that will let in the sunlight
to shatter the nightmares that man's hand have wrought,
Our role is to answer with Yes when he calls us,
to be tools in his hands that his own blood has bought.
You all and your prayers lift me up this day. May each and every one of you be blessed in a special way...

'He is the Living God,
World Without End.
His Kingdom Never Falls.
His Rule Continues Eternally.
He is a Savior and Rescuer.
He Performs Miracles
In Heaven and On Earth.' (Dan.6:26-27)
'I Saw a Human Form,
A Son of Man,
Arriving in a Whirl of Clouds.
He Came to the Ancient of Days
And was Presented to Him.
He was Given Power to Rule;
All the Glory of Royalty.
Everyone; Race, Color, Creed,
Had to Serve Him.
His Rule would be Forever,
Never Ending.
His Kingly Rule
Would Never be Replaced.' (Dan.7:13,14)
We Love to Dwell Upon Your Sovereign Rule and Power, O Excellent King. Thy Kingdom Come! Thy Kingdom Come! our God of Eternal Greatness. We Worship You for Your Gracious Love. Col 2:6 Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him,
Col 2:7 rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.
Col 2:8 See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ.
Col 2:9 For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily,
Col 2:10 and you have been filled in him, who is the head of all rule and authority.
.......
Joh 20:27 Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side. Do not disbelieve, but believe."
Joh 20:28 Thomas answered him, "My Lord and my God!"
..........
1Pe 1:8 Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory....

Jesus is God! The solid earth,
The ocean broad and bright,
The countless stars like golden dust,
That strew the sky at night,
The wheeling storm, the dreadful fire,
The pleasant wholesome air,
The summers sun, the winters frost,
His own creation were.
Jesus is God! The glorious bands
Of golden angels sing
Songs of adoring praise to Him,
Their Maker and their King.
He was true God in Bethlehems crib,
On Calvarys cross true God,
He Who in Heavn eternal reigned,
In time on earth abode.
Jesus is God! Let sorrow come,
And pain, and every ill,
All are worthwhile, for all are means
His glory to fulfill;
Worthwhile a thousand years of woe
To speak one little word,
If by that I believe we own
The Godhead of our Lord.
Jesus is God! O! could I now
But compass earth and sea,
To teach and tell the single truth,
How happy should I be!
O! had I but an angels voice,
I would proclaim so loud,
Jesus, the good, the beautiful,
Is everlasting God.
Amen!
Thank you!

That is the Loveliest Hymn, bp7! Your Entire Offering to our Lord is Wonderful, and my Spirit is Thankful for the Blessing of this Thread.
"God is King, robed and ruling,
God is robed and surging with strength.
And yes, the world is firm, immovable,
Your throne ever firmyou're Eternal!
Sea storms are up, God,
Sea storms wild and roaring,
Sea storms with thunderous breakers.
Stronger than wild sea storms,
Mightier than sea-storm breakers,
Mighty God rules from High Heaven.
What you say goesit always has.
"Beauty" and "Holy" mark your palace rule,
God, to the very end of time." (Ps.93)
"Blessed God, Israel's God,
The one and only wonder-working God!
Blessed always his blazing glory!
All earth brims with his glory.
Yes and Yes and Yes!" (Ps.72:18-20)
The Incredible Grace of the Master, Jesus Christ, be with All of you! (2Thess.3:18)

Now, here is a link to a lovely prayer site: http://www.poeticexpressions.co.uk/PRAYER.htm
Stay close by me Lord
I'm a stranger in this land
How can I believe
When my heart can't understand
Please forgive me Lord
When I doubt how you feel for me
Love has never been easy
For me to trust easily
All of my life Lord
Is compromise and condition
I know I need to learn
The truth of this vision
I'm asking you to teach me Lord
To accept Your truth in my heart
For all my doubts and unbelief
Are keeping You and I apart
Release me Lord
From the fears I hold within
Tear down the strongholds
Allow me - to let you in.

And also with you, Kitty Mittens.
So glad to hear of your *new* vision! Sometimes we just need a new pair of glasses, so to speak.
