Will Nifong go after bloggers?

Now that the election is over and this can't be considered just an election ploy :

Rumors are said to have been circulating in Durham to the effect that Nifong might consider (legally) going after a couple of bloggers; that if he deals with a couple of them the rest will be intimidated and fade away.

This is just a heads up; so that if anything untoward happens, everyone will know about it in advance and be able to make the connection. The rumors are well-sourced.

I emailed KC Johnson with the link to this thread. I would assume that if the rumors are true that he would go after KC. Fortunately KC is one of the more erudite, and I think circumspect, of all the bloggers following the Duke Hoax.

There is NO DNA evidence. There is DNA evidence that supposedly identified 3 of the accused as the perpetrators, which is not of sufficient provenance to have any probative value.

There is circumstantial evidence,that the three were present at the party and one had had a 30 second opportunity to rape and sodomize the complainant.( We all know LaCross players are quick....sarc)The others have contrary evidence to the supposed time line that they were not then present.

However, the prosecution says it has other evidentiary cards to play, and IF Nifong doesn't have that, he is history, unless he can manage to trump up a series of other "fictional" offences to keep the flames of racial hatred burning. I do not buy any of that, and do not cast blame on my fellow black Americans, who have been traduced by a minority of black rascist moonbats, and their political white whores like Nifong.

I know has he not yet interviewed the complainant? Why? He has to decide what story she will need to have scripted.Then he will interview her. He should resign and go to acting school before he's lynched by a unified mob of black AND white folk.

Judge Won't Restore Assault Charges Against Ex-Cops

RALEIGH, N.C. -- A district judge on Wednesday refused to reinstate assault charges against two former Durham police officers who were cleared a week ago on a technicality.

Gary P. Lee, 38, and Scott C. Tanner, 33, were on trial for assault when District Judge Debra Sasser dismissed the charges, saying prosecutors hadn't established that a crime had occurred in Wake County.

Wake County District Attorney Colon Willoughby asked that the judge reconsider, noting all district courts in North Carolina have jurisdiction to try all North Carolina cases.

Willoughby said he hasn't decided whether he will appeal Sasser's ruling.

The charges stemmed from a July 20 incident outside Blinco's Sports Restaurant & Bar on Glenwood Avenue.

Rene Dennis Thomas, a 29-year-old cook at Blinco's, told authorities that he exchanged racial slurs with a group of men in a truck speeding through the restaurant parking lot. He also alleged that one of the men tried to punch him and that another kicked him.

According to court documents, Lee attempted to strike Thomas and tackled him, causing him to fall to the ground, and Tanner kicked Thomas in the head.

The officers, who were off duty at the time of the alleged assault, had been at Blinco's that night for a going-away party.

Three other Durham police officers, as well as a former Durham officer who had resigned from the department prior to the alleged assault, had also been under investigation by Raleigh police, but were later cleared of criminal charges.

Lee and Tanner were fired from the Durham Police Department last month following an internal investigation into the incident.

No, that is totally wrong. There is no DNA evidence that identifies anyone as a perpetrator.

There is no DNA from any player in or on Crystal. There is no DNA from Crystal in the bathroom.

Crystal's boyfriend's DNA. Matt Murchison, was inside her.
