How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love McCain
November 8, 2006 | E. Pluribus Unum

Posted on 11/08/2006 9:03:34 AM PST by E. Pluribus Unum

The events of yesterday may be a blessing in disguise for those of us who react with absolute horror to the very thought of a Democrat President in 2008.

Most likely the Democrat nominee is going to be Hillary, and like her husband before her, the only way she could win the Presidency is if there were a conservative stalking horse like Ross Perot to split the conservative vote.

We all know what an egomaniac John McCain is. If he does not get the nomination in 2008, there is no doubt in my mind that he will strike a secret deal with the Clintons and run a third-party candidacy, which will deliver the Presidency to Bill/Hill LLC.

I have resigned myself to McCain as the 2008 nominee.

It is either that, or resign myself to another 8 years of the Clintons.

It'll be a while before we see the likes of the Gipper again.

McCain is more to blame for the coming debacle than even the Democrats are. He gets no support or even any slack from me. He should retire, now.

I'm with you. If conservatives don't stop voting for RINOs, we will never get rid of them. Are you listening, RNC?

"Dangerous slippery slope you are on here. McCain and Giuliani will not be elected. They should just go ahead and change parties now, to Democrat, since they are leftist liberals."

Giuliani, yes.
McCain, no.

LOL. Some people, apparantly yer one of em, go make their own trouble if they can't find any. How about waiting to see if McCain can win a primary or two before you wave the white flag. I never realized how many pathetic freepers there are, folding like rental chairs. Glad I aint got you watching my back. Man up, already.

McCain is politically dead

I saw him several times on TV last night and I think you're right -- and I think he knows it.

Eh. I think last night could be a huge problem for Hilary. After two years of Dem screw-ups in Congress I think that 10% of the country that can't seem to make up its mind will be unintereted in voting her in.

Let's be honest; Hillary won 2008 last night.

I'll concede alot...but I won't concede that.

So we know what kind of whore he is, we're just haggling about the price?

McNutt will never get the Republican nomination. He could run as an independent spoiler.

McCain is getting to be quite the old geezer now. I dont want him as the candidate but if he is will just have to hold the nose and vote. Can we clone the Gipper now in Missouri?

Hang on just one damn second. Don't blame Conservatives for the dumb ass policies of the WH and our Republican Congress. These folks couldn't find their way out of a bag for the last two years. The blame rests with President Bush and the RINO Party. Where is another Ronald Reagan when ya need him or her?

You are sadly mistaken if you think the message the RNC got yesterday was to move to the right.

I very rarely vote third party, only two or three times in my life.

A race between the Hildabeast and the McMainiac would be one of those times. Bad as hillary is, McCain may be even worse.

Do we really want his finger on the nuclear football? I don't think so.
