Dangerous slippery slope you are on here. McCain and Giuliani will not be elected. They should just go ahead and change parties now, to Democrat, since they are leftist liberals.

While I would like to put the thought out of my mind, you could be right. And further complicating it, is the fact that many conservatives, fed up with the status quo of the Repubs, actually helped to vote in radical leftists as an alternative. A totally unacceptable alternative from my perspective.
That is the huge tragedy for America.

After seeing how RINOs are not our saviors in 2006, I sincerely doubt anyone could be stupid enough to think that McCain has anything remotely resembling a shot at the nomination.
And if McCain runs third-party, this will only seal the deal in showing why we must once-and-for-all purge all RINOs from the Republican party.

I will not vote for John McCain even for dog catcher, and I can assure you that other Conservatives feel the same way. I blame John McCain and his other toadies for much of the trouble in the senate over the last two years. Conservatives won't forget. I will never ever vote for McCain under any circumstance. He's a RINO POS that hates Conservatives.

If he does not get the nomination in 2008, there is no doubt in my mind that he will strike a secret deal with the Clintons and run a third-party candidacy, which will deliver the Presidency to Bill/Hill LLC. *************
I don't know if you're right about that, but I agree we may have to face a McCain nomination in '08.

I have resigned myself to McCain as the 2008 nominee. Courage old boy. You've heard the old adage....never make a critical decision in a foul mood. Let's not limit our choices here. We need a Reagan-like candidate and McCain aint it.

Neither President Hillary or President McCain are acceptable. It must not be allowed to come to that.

On other thread I opined that Hillary is Unbeatable.
I take that back.
Only Old Man Mcain (Hated by All Bushies and Kool-Aid Conservatives) can beat her.
Hate effects judgement.
Not only they have lost majority (who knows, maybe for next 40 years or forever - Machachas will not stop coming in.....), they would lose the chance to have Republican President.
They would rather salute Madam President Hillary, than embrace Mcain.

Not a chance. He doesn't have enough money to run third party. McCain is politically dead. All this spin by the McCainiancs to try and make him inevitable in 2008 is not going to sell.

Another 8 years of the Clintons?
Frightful thought. However, I will never vote for McCain, and if he's the nominee then I will vote third party. If he's the nominee then Americans, and especially the right, deserve another 8 years of the Clintons and the subsequent final destruction of the nation it will bring. And republicans can do what a good number of their members currently seem to desire...merge with the democrats.

What are McCain's positions on the War in Iraq on terrorism, abortion, tax increases and government spending? To the right of Hillary's.
I'm a lesser-of-two-evils guy, because that is the only choice you actually have in any election.

the only way she could win the Presidency is if there were a conservative stalking horse like Ross Perot to split the conservative vote. And you think the "I'm not voting GOP" aren't going to do that anyway, just like they do every two or four years?
Let's be honest; Hillary won 2008 last night.
