I fear you are correct, now Bush will get his amnesty for illegals, only a GOP house could have prevented it. With the house gone and the Senate already in favor of amnesty I fear the dike will fail and the flood gates open. If the happens the GOP is dead.
OMG, local talk radio says we lost the Senate too.

Tony Snow's first comments last night were to "work with the Democrats on (amnesty) comprehensive immigration reform".
And this morning, Mehlman says that there is an opportunity for bipartisan immigration reform.

Had Bush instituted draconian illegal immigration reform executive orders the R's would have carried the day, yesterday, IMO.
Pander to the middle and this is what happens.
Choose you this day who you will serve is difficult when you can't tell D's and R's apart.
