Vote. People died so you can have this right; exercise the franchise that is your birthright.

And, above all, if you do not vote, don't get angry when I tell you to shut up if you didn't vote. You don't vote, you accept the outcome. If you want to whine, you have to express your opinion at the ballot box.

Other things I don't want to hear:

** My vote wasn't counted--how do you know, it's a secret ballot.

** My vote was counted incorrectly--how do you know, it's a secret ballot.

** My vote was wrong because my ballot was handled incorrectly--how do you know, it was a secret ballot.

** I want a receipt that shows how I voted--how can you tie it back to your ballot, it was a secret ballot.

So...

Okay, I think it's safe now to report that at my county headquarters we made ~50,0000 personal, VOLUNTEER calls to strong and likely R voters the past 3 weeks!

Now, God help me if those calls drove them to vote, but for Dems....but I do think they'll yield a few positive results.

OTOH, maybe I'm delusional.

But we fought the good fight, and hey, I'm never never giving up...

Molly, my daughter voted dem in the local races, but voted for the Republican in her district (Dickerson) over the odious Julia Carson. I know if she did this others may have, too, both white and black.

My theory is this: if by some reason the Rats take the House (and I don't believe they will, but it will be close) we must absolutely organize to demonstrate in Washington in numbers large enough that it scares the Rats into funding the military.

I know that President Bush will dig his heels in, and we will have to lend him all of our support. Unlike the hand-wringing weasel pundits, I am NOT giving up and am NOT giving in!
