LOS ANGELES - Neil Patrick Harris is gay and wants to quell any rumors to the contrary. "(I) am quite proud to say that I am a very content gay man living my life to the fullest," Harris tells People magazine's Web site.
The 33-year-old actor said he was motivated to disclose his sexuality because of recent "speculation and interest in my private life and relationships."
Harris stars on the CBS comedy "How I Met Your Mother." He started on TV as a teen, playing the namesake doctor on the series "Doogie Howser, M.D."

She was referencing what is weirdly known as "the craft" in which men have to discard their personality and women have to inflate their presence to often overshadow a man.

That was not my understanding when I met her once and asked her about her oft-quoted comment. She was very forthcoming. I remember blushing through much of her candor.

No, but I play one on TV...
Sorry, couldn't resist. No, not an actor, but I've spent a good portion of my adult life around various people in the arts, actors included. The profession and "craft" is fascinating to me, but many of them are just nutty as hell.

The problem is even when they're pretending they think it's real.
If they're any good, yeah. If they're any good they actually re-wire their brains in a role to give a good performance. And if you ask them how they do it, they can't tell you.
