Are you kidding? I think Jimmy Swaggart by himself has had three or four in that time!

I really, really, really hate the TV preachers. Thieves, liars, snakes and vermin, almost to a man.

Oh, my...Jim Baker. I remember, when I was a prot-Christian, my wife loved the guy on TV. I knew he was a crook and a fraud when Tammy Faye had what, five famous pianists on his show to play him "Happy Birthday", all the while we were being dogged for the Cause of the Week. Pegged my faux-Christian meter. I'm no apostle (well, maybe Peter!) but that kind of glitter in a supposedly faithful leader isn't humble, and it lets those outside the faith do just what they are going to do with this guy...point at him as an example of a "Christian". I pray for his family, and especially for those who follow him, that their real allegiance be to Christ.

I try hard to limit the foil but do you ever wonder sometimes if the enemy gets the goods on someone and holds it until they need to knock another scandal out of the news?

Another public cleansing--haven't had one since Jim Bakker and the PTL scandal. I guess Jimmy Swaggart doesn't count? Or Paul Crouch? Or Peter Popoff? Or Pat Robertson? Or Robert Tilton? Or Benny Hinn? Yeah, giving money to these guys is like giving meth to an addict.
