In this episode, Khan is commenting to Kirk on how, even though technology has advanced, humans haven't. If anyone has that quote, I'd love to have it. Thanks.
Yeah, but if that's the case, how did we ever create fine Corinthian Leather?
Khan: Captain, although your abilities intrigue me, you are quite honestly inferior. Mentally, physically. In fact, I am surprised how little improvement there has been in human evolution. Oh, there has been technical advancement, but, uh, how little man himself has changed. Yes, it appears we will do well in your century, Captain.
lol this was a trick to ferret out the LOSERS at FR...you just gave yourself away lol just kidding, thanks, I really appreciate it. I needed this quote for a presentation.
Thanks.
The major question is, how, in "Wrath of Khan", did Chekov know about Khan, since he didn't join the crew until after the encounter? ;')
Simple, Chekov learned about the whole Botany Bay encounter while attending Starfleet Academy. Any Star Trek geek knows that! :~D
You'd think that he'd have learned to count the planets in the system before beaming down, then. ;')
...or for that matter, that it's possible to beam back to the ship without putting on the helmet and heading outside.
How did Khan know about Chekov?
Hmmm...people didn't have DVD's and VCR's then like they do now so they couldn't check for discontinuities like this one.
How did he even know about Klingons?
Remember in “Seed” where Khan spends a LOT of time going through the computer system to ‘catch up’ on history and such.
And of course, the bigger mystery is, why would Khan have recognized him, since they'd never met? I mean, okay, he's a genetically engineered genius, but...
