Here's the deal with pictures:
I'm trying to hook up a DVD player to my little t.v.
That's it. I followed the directions and nothing is happening.
There are yellow, white and red cords and I put them in the holes and nothing happens. Two hours and I still get nothing. FReeper help needed...please.

The remote for the TV will have a way to change the input to something like AV1 AV The set of five with red white rellow green red is composet your not using that setting. Your TV should tell you when you are in the AV or AV1 setting after you go into video mode. It should be superimposed on the screen monetarily, usually in the upper right hand corner of the tv.

You paid a $100 bucks for a $30 DVD player?

I definitely sympathize, MotleyGirl. You may want to do what I did... called the cable guy to come and hook ours up! (I'm not kidding)

I paid 85 for mine about two weeks ago. I have he same connections. The answer is in the remote for the TV. The DVD must be on.

Okay, you're totally not funny, even with the dumb duck. I don't have a sense of humor right now--so go away.

Turn off DVD player with DVD inside it...
Turn on TV and tune to Channel 3
Turn on DVD Player - hopefully the TV will pop into Video 1.
(if that does not work then a picture of BOTH remotes upclose will help.)
But they are right the TV has to be in Video 1 mode. (sometimes it is a simple little button that has TV/Video written on it on the TV remote)
To: Red Steel
I didn't have my DVD player turn on so the TV could not see it, so I turned my DVD player on.

Hey guys, thank you so much for help. I will work on it more tomorrow. I will definately let you know when I get my DVD player up and and running.
I'm going to have a beer now and put this off until tomorrow--I've had enough :)
