If anyone would like to help me out, I'm doing a research paper on women and national security. (Sorry, guys, my topic had to be related to my gender.) I decided to make up a survey. So if you're female and you would like to help me, you can either post here or you can FReepmail me your responses. Either way is fine. I'd REALLY appreciate it if you can help! Thanks :)
1. When voting, how important is national security to you (on a scale of 1 to 10)? Explain why.
2. Do you agree with President Bush's national security policy? Why or why not?
3. How does the United Nations affect the national security of the United States?
4. Do you think that security moms played a major role in the 2004 presidential election? Explain why.
5. Who do you believe has contributed the most to the national security of the United States? Why?
Thanks for answering :)
Um...I don't recall saying anywhere that this is the only place I'm posting the survey/asking these questions.
Lol only if you can convince my professor of the virtue of accepting those answers.
Tomorrow's fine. My rough draft is due on Friday.
1. When voting, how important is national security to you (on a scale of 1 to 10)? Explain why. 10, it effects my family's future. I don't want my children growing up in a world where they do not have the same freedoms I did. I will vote for the party that is vigilant in keeping my country and its freedoms secure.
2. Do you agree with President Bush's national security policy? Why or why not? Yes, because he is steadfast in trying to maintain peace through strength. That is the only effective policy. In some areas we could increase the strength. :)
3. How does the United Nations affect the national security of the United States? It weakens it.
4. Do you think that security moms played a major role in the 2004 presidential election? Explain why. Not sure if there is such a voting bloc, or if it was just Americans voting for what they collectively believed was the better choice. I believe that the media coined the phrase "security moms."
5. Who do you believe has contributed the most to the national security of the United States? Why? The brave men and women in the military. As the saying goes "freedom isn't free." Without those who are willing to pay the ultimate price for the nation and to do so honorably, we would be in a very similar situation that some European nations are in (turning a blind eye to the obvious). I believe President Bush is the right man for our country at this trying time, but he couldn't accomplish this goal without the military. :)
So will you be posting this on DU as well, in order to get an accurate representation of hardcore conservatives and liberals? Haha.
2. I agree with President Bush's national security policy with the exception of the Mexican border situation, although it looks to be improving. On everything else I completely support him.
3. The United Nations affects the security of the United States in several ways:
a. It legitimizes dictators and marginal countries and gives them far more voice than they would otherwise have.
b. It allows for spies to legitimately live in the USA.
c. It allows for anti-US governments to collude while dining on the American taxpayer's dime.
d. It prevents the US from acting in cases in which we normally would have acted, in the pre-UN days. Examples: Dafur, Rwanda, North Korea, Iran, etc.
4. I think that "security moms" played a roll in the 2004 election, but not to the extent that the media thinks...else President Bush would have won by a higher margin.
5. Those who have done the most for national security are the men and women of the United States military. President Bush has supported them and has made sure they realize they are appreciated, as has VP Cheney and Secretary Rumsfeld.
I think Donald Rumsfeld will be seen as having been one of the most effective defense secretaries in history, and President Bush is to be credited for hiring and supporting him.
You have the best answer for 5! Wish I had said it. :)
OK. I'll send you my reply tomorrow.
Good luck with your paper.
Ugh...I think that might make me nauseous. But I will be asking other people for their responses as well.
I suspect every response would somehow campare Bush to Hitler. LOL...
Thanks! :)

I'll make sure I tell Rummy you said that. Lol ;)
Great. Thank you!
Freeper College Student needs some help with a FEMALE participant survey
FReeper Guys: perhaps you could have your wife or GF do this?
I LOVE THAT PICTURE! It looks like my dingo acts with my new puppies. My dingo can't decide if they're her babies or if they're just a bother. Thanks.
I'm sure they would. Fortunately, I'm not trying to do a poll. There are plenty of organizations that are much better equipped for that. I just need more in-depth responses to support my other information.
Thanks, Dolly! :)
I'm ahead of you on this one. I even got a prize for being first. neeneenahnahpoopoo!
