The summer wind, came blowin in - from across the sea It lingered there, so warm and fair - to walk with me All summer long, we sang a song - and strolled on golden sand Two sweethearts, and the summer wind
Like painted kites, those days and nights - went flyin by The world was new, beneath a blue - umbrella sky Then softer than, a piper man - one day it called to you And I lost you, to the summer wind
The autumn wind, and the winter wind - have come and gone And still the days, those lonely days - go on and on And guess who sighs his lullabies - through nights that never end My fickle friend, the summer wind

My favorite is "Young at Heart". "Fairy tales can come true.
It can happen to you
If you're young at heart."
To: HungarianGypsy
The movie YOUNG AT HEART with Frank and Doris Day (1954) is one of the very best Hollywood movies of the 1950s.
Frank is a depressive songwriter/piano player who comes to live with a cheery normal American family......oh,just see the movie. It is very underrated.

It would have to be a tie between "Everything Happens to Me" and "Summer Wind."

From the "Frank, WTF Were You Thinking?" Files:
and
"Moonlight in Vermont" duet with Linda Ronstadt (Great Nelson Riddle orchestration, but it couldn't put the lipstick on that pig)

From the "Frank, WTF Were You Thinking?" Files: Mia was cute as hell.........couldn't sing too well at all, but I hear she could hum real well.
Ava Gardner was the one!

"Cycles" always kills me:
****
So I'm down and so I'm out
But so are many others
So I feel like tryin' to hide
My head 'neath these covers
Life is like the seasons
After winter comes the spring
So I'll keep this smile awhile
And see what tomorrow brings
I've been told and I believe
That life is meant for livin'
And even when my chips are low
There's still some left for givin'
I've been many places
Maybe not as far as you
So I think I'll stay awhile
And see if some dreams come true
There isn't much that I have learned
Through all my foolish years
Except that life keeps runnin' in cycles
First there's laughter, then those tears
But I'll keep my head up high
Although I'm kinda tired
My gal just up and left last week
Friday I got fired
You know its almost funny
But things can't get worse than now
So I'll keep on tryin' to sing
But please, just don't ask me how
****
'The Summer Wind, 'Witchcraft', 'I've Got The World On A String', 'They Can't Take That Away From Me', 'My Funny Valentine', 'Young At Heart', 'Someone To Watch Over Me', 'In The Wee Small Hours Of The Morning', 'I've Got You Under My Skin', 'The Lady Is A Tramp', 'Come Fly With Me'...........
The man was simply the best ever. He respected the SONG!
