Mans best friend. Good dogs will do anything to please their human owners.

Damn cats. Probably lured the dog back into the burning house and then slipped out the back way. The fur ball is probably eating scraps out of a trash can right now.

What a shame that such a great dog has to die for a cat.

Did you see the movie Joe Dirt?
A man (played by Joe Don Baker) got his foot stuck in the RR tracks. He sent his dog home to get help.
The faithful dog started for home, running like lightning to save his owner...
... until the canine saw this beautiful Golden Retriever. Next thing you know, the pup has completely forgotten his owner and is humping the dog like crazy.
In the next scene, Joe Don Baker has a prosthetic leg.

Poor puppy.
But the cat isn't responsible. The stupid owner burning unstable candles where her animals could reach it is.

Sad story. Lit candles don't belong in houses with kids, cats & drunks.

I do not believe my dog would be of any use in an emergency such as this.

This is why I like dogs better than I like humans. Poor doggy though :(

Awww. My dog tried saving a kitten he thought was abandoned in our back yard. Our cat just hissed at it and ran for it.
