Wow, I just saw the episode (west coast). It is probably not a good idea to kiss Kara Thrace if she doesn't want it--you are likely to get a knife in the gut. And yes, she will twist it!

I think we can expect Saul to be drinking heavily in the next couple of episodes. And it should be really interesting to see what happens with Gaius Baltar (as it always is).

Galactica jumping into the atmosphere was not quite something that I expected. Rock on!

Just got done watching it on my DVR-delayed west coast schedule. Good show. I can't wait to somehow get a hold of a HD-version.

Based on the preview for next week, Felix better hope that he can get Chief Tyrol to come to his defense in the vigilante trials....

Also, I don't think Ellen Tigh can be a Cylon. I believe the creators have stated that Cylons came up with all-new people for their 12 models, and did not replicate any existing human. Since she was married to Saul for years, that rules out Ellen.

Me either. This was the one time in the series that I actually felt sympathy for Ellen. She did everything out of pure love for Tigh, nothing else, and she died for it. Poor Tigh is a broken man now.

Best BSG episode ever. EVER!

Storyline A+
Effects A+
Military tactics/battle scenes A+

OK, how cool was the freefall FTL jump into the atmosphere to launch vipers and jump back! Amazing ballsy tactic and visual.

It's sad to see the Pegasus go.

I think the verdict is out on Ellen Tigh being a cylon but she is not aware she is a cylon. Sound familiar? Just like Boomer.

I don't think any of the remaining main characters are cylons.

Ummmm... Just how many years was Sharon in human society? And she was a "sleeper." Ellen could have been a Cylon, but I really don't think so: Why hide it on New Caprica, at least in the private scenes between the Cylon "Brother" (Deal Stockwell) and Ellen.

Agreed.

What about Hot Dog about to launch as Galactica's falling like a rock...

"Well, this oughta be different."
LOL!!

I caught the episode on my Tivo late last night, and I must say, having watched every episode again in anticipation of this season, that this last episode was simply the best.

Who can say that they were not cheering when Galactica came burning down through the atmosphere?

I almost leaped out of my chair during that scene.

When Tigh killed his wife, I had to ask myself when I had watched a scene that good in sci-fi before?

I believe that Deadwood is the best TV program ever, but if BG keeps this up, I may have to change my vote.

I saw a clip of scenes where Tricia Helfer's character and Lee Adama are talking and it has to do with them turning the tides on the Cylons. Perhaps her loyalty is to the humans in the end.

It does give some support to the rumour that there will be a civil war of sorts between the Cylons. Wouldn't be surprised if there is a basestar or two joining the Rag Tag Fleet.

My Wife was out here playing Evercrack 2 while I was watching the tape I made. I record 'em for a buddy at work who shut off his cable. She was laughing at my, "YEAH!!"s coming out of the room.

Frakin WOW! This one hit hard.
I was wanting to see the Adama/Tigh reunion. I knew it was going to happen because of the screenshots I saw on the Galacticastation site. It was so sad hearing tigh moan out, "Not all of 'em,"
I still hold to my prediction that Saul is going to rip out the eye of a Cavil, and Cottle or maybe Sharon (or both) will install it. Saul is most likely going to be highly charged with revenge next week when they go after the collaborators.

BTW, where was Cottle? I might have missed him in this one. I hope he made it off okay.

I knew that Casey wasn't Starbuck's daughter. It makes no logical sense considering the Cylon obsession with Hera. I'd hoped that when Starbuck started showing affection it was a ruse. I thought she was simply playing Leoben like a fiddle to get a chance to escape.

The space combat scenes were awesome. Galactica jumping in New Caprica's atmosphere, dropping like a brick, launching her Vipers, and jumping away at about three hundred feet? SWEEEET! The folks making the game, "BSG: Beyond the Red Line," have their work cut out for them if they decide to include this in it.

I have a feeling that next week's ep will be a SFX dud because they shot a pretty big load making this one, but we'll soon find out what happened to Baltar.

Best show on TV. Only one I watch.
So say we all.

Since the flight from the colonies how many base ships have the Cylons lost? I had counted about 6 which would start to stretch their ranks a bit. One of the Cylons had mentioned that their forces were stretched too thin to be able to contain the resistance so perhaps their numbers are a bit less than optimal. Remember also that the Pegasus and Galactica had blown up a regeneration ship in season 2A.

What this points to potentially is a weakness that can be exploited by the humans with the help of rogue elements of the Cylons who actually want to become human and do not wish to go along with the factions that want to eliminate the human race.

What happens to Bill Clinton, I mean Baltar? I think that that the Cylon who left new Caprica with him will be the one we see plotting with the humans.

We don't know how many (if any) were lost in the attack on the 12 colonies. Six is as good a number as any. It really doesn't matter. The Cylons can make up their losses, as they still have a functioning infastructure. The colonists cannot do so, and maybe have lost their capacity to make up their viper loses with the loss of the facilities on Pegasus.

What this points to potentially is a weakness that can be exploited by the humans with the help of rogue elements of the Cylons who actually want to become human and do not wish to go along with the factions that want to eliminate the human race. While i don't support the idea of a material weakness, i'd suggest that the rogue elements already exist, and there are elements that suggest that the Cylons are becomming more and more human every day.

i suspect that a group of Cylons will formally turn rogue and be hunted down by the others, after they realise that they've (the rogue element) become more human than machine.

They lost nothing during the obliteration of the colonies since they had infiltrated the defense and managed to shut everything down. They have lost some base ships though and while they have infrastructure I found it curious for the Cylons to mention that they had strained their resources. By having the Pegasus take out 3 base ships that is likely to leave them stretched thinner. Why does that matter? Because in scenes from upcoming shows we are shown Number 6 having a discussion with Lee Adama about the ability of the humans to attack and damage the Cylons. Six's involvement with Baltar seems to have infected her.

With respect to Sharon, Adama is going to have some explaining to do when she finds out that the baby was taken from her and it was not killed. Her love for Helo and the baby seems to have infected her.

Three back on New Caprica has taken possession of Sharon's baby. She decided not to nuke the place as a result. Stay tuned for that development and how it turns.

Leoben met Kara Thrace back on the Galactica before he was flushed out the airlock. He had been waiting for her but we are not told why the Cylons were fixated on her. She seems to have infected him with some obsession though.

Notice a common thread here?

Not to mention the fact that she was successfully killed by poisoning.
