Kirkland, Wash. - Green Bay Packers wide receiver Koren Robinson was sentenced Wednesday to 90 days in jail for violating probation in a drunken driving case.
Robinson appeared in Municipal Court in this Seattle suburb, where he pleaded guilty last year to drunken driving.
At the time, he was given a five-year sentence that was suspended on condition that he not drink or have any other law violations.
The former first-round draft pick was then released by the Seattle Seahawks and signed by the Minnesota Vikings.

Same reason BF is still the QB.

Robinson isn't exactly worshipped in Packer fandom, though.

I'd ping it but I think my list is out of date and I'm missing several names. I'll leave it for the others until I can get a complete list from scottsays... :(

It's too bad this whole "applying the laws of society to athletes" thing probably won't become a trend.

I certainly hope so.
Congrats on reaching #2 in the pick'em ranking, by the way. Whodathunk that Joe Theismann's broken leg would be so good at football?

That's one heck of a tree field you're running around in, then.
I hope my newfound job won't keep me busy on Sundays.

It's too bad this whole "applying the laws of society to athletes" thing probably won't become a trend. How do you figure? Athletes don't get any special treatment - if anything they are more aggressively prosecuted. The Vikings "loveboat" incident is a good example - if they hadn't been professional athletes nothing would have ever come of it.
The only "break" athletes have is that they usually are able to afford good legal representation.

How do you figure?
Koren Robinson being the only one of a recent spate of happens-to-be-athletic turds to face any sort of serious consequences for his actions.

How is that not a serious consequence?
