SHREVEPORT, La. - A Dallas roofer suspected of raping a newlywed woman after tying up her husband at their Shreveport apartment has been captured in Texas.
Alfredo Rodriguez Gonzalez, 29, was arrested over the weekend in New Braunfels by a fugitive task force, authorities said. He was being held pending an extradition hearing on an aggravated rape charge.
Authorities also said immigration authorities have placed a hold on Gonzalez because he is in the United States illegally.
The alleged rape happened Sept. 9 at an apartment complex where Gonzalez had been working, investigators said. The attack took place after two men knocked on the victims' door asking for water, police said.

What, you want a study that reinforces what common sense should tell you?
This is easy.
If the penalty for rape is death, and the penalty for murder is death, the rapist has no incentive NOT to murder the victim, because the penalty will be just as harsh if he leaves her alive.

Wouldn't want to make the rapists 'mad' now .What does that sound like.A rapist has *nothing* to lose and, potentially,*much* to gain by killing his rape victim if the penalty for rape is execution.
The same rapist has * a lot* to lose by killing his rape victim if the penalty for rape is "life"...or less.
It has nothing to do with angering the rapist....or showing "mercy" for him.

You think that the individual in this thread should be sentenced to what then? How many felonies do you count here? I ask because we are obviously not on the same page.

The good news is Sheriff "Joe's" are popping up everywhere even close to Chicago!
Suburban Ordinance Targets Illegal Immigrants
Opponents Charge Discrimination
(CBS) CARPENTERSVILLE, Ill. There's heated debate in Carpentersville over a very tough ordinance aimed at illegal immigrants. It would make English the official language of the village. It would also be illegal to do business with undocumented immigrants, even rent housing

The victum let him in the apartment about 1am after he and an accomplice knocked on the door. She recognized him as having been working on the roof. They entered the apartment, tied up her companion, raped her and then stole their truck.
Sue the contractor, let hiring illegal aliens cost them more than the money they save by hiring undocumented rapists.
Why would she let a man in the door after 1AM? I wouldn't even open the door.

No, I am NOT saying that.
What I am saying is what my post says.
If you're one of the many FReepers who refuse to understand, I cannot make it clearer.
Perhaps GSC can help.

That I want incentives for rapists.
Do not EVER put words in my mouth.
My posts mean what they say. If you try to read something into them, you will fail miserably.
