Mine is working fine now, but I have had a lot of problems over the past couple of months, both with stuff I send and stuff send to me never arriving. Ever since that worm hit a couple months ago, it seems things have been hinky, but it has been getting back to normal in the past week or so.

I just went to my yahoo email account that I rarely use and didn't have any trouble getting to it but I had 21 spam messages and the worst offender is SurveyNetworks.com. I've blocked them but it doesn't even slow them down.

If you can't access Yahoo IM either your account may be locked up due to someone hacking your Yahoo account.
This happened to me last month and for two weeks Yahoo wouldn't tell me anything about why my account was locked.
Google Yahoo and get their phone number. Just MAYBE you will be lucky and get someone to tell you what is going on with your account.

Method of access? Most people use it via the web browser, but others use POP access. I suspect that most who replied use web interface.
Second question: Have you shut down the browser, started it again, and gone to mail.yahoo.com, or are you using a bookmark? There are individual yahoo mail servers down at the moment, but it should route around them.
If you were using Firefox to access, have you tried Internet Explorer, or vice versa?
